Her grip on his shirt tightened as she pulled him closer.
"I'm asking you a question," she continued, her voice rising with panic. "Did my baby survive?!"
"Your baby is safe, Aria," Ethan finally replied. "He's safe." He added, his voice calm and, steady.
"Why didn't you say so on time you bastard. You actually want to me to have a miscarriage now due to fear huh?" Aria voiced out with a heavy sigh of relief all while tears continue to roll down her cheeks.
"You need to relax. You're strong as well as your baby Aria" Ethan added.
Aria let out a long, shaky breath, her body slumping slightly as the tension further drained from her.
"You should have said so on time?" she snapped, though her voice was weaker now.
She gave him a light punch on the shoulder, her lips trembling faintly.
"I almost lost my mind…"
"I'm sorry, Aria," Ethan said, laughing softly.
There was a teasing edge to his tone.
