So… someone accused me of fully using AI to write this fic. Honestly, it hurt. This is already the second time it has happened, and it has not even been a month since I started posting on AO3.
Yes, I do use AI, but only as a tool. I mostly use it to check grammar, and little less about smooth out some prose, and sometimes to get a second opinion on what I could improve or add. The story itself, the ideas, the structure, the scenes, the dialogue, the drafts, all of that is mine.
I am not sure what gave that impression. Maybe it is the wording, the structure, or the way I write certain scenes. But saying the entire fic is AI generated feels unfair. I am not just putting in a prompt and letting it generate everything.
AI itself is trained on human writing. So if something feels familiar or follows a certain pattern, that doesn't automatically mean it was generated by AI. Those patterns come from how people write in the first place.
The repetitive structure you might notice comes from me, not AI. This is my first time writing a fic from scratch, and I got stuck in a certain rhythm. I was too focused on showing her growth, and I didn't realize how repetitive it could feel until later.
As for the way family discussions are written, that is simply the format I am most comfortable with right now. At the time, I didn't really know other ways to handle dialogue or structure those scenes.
I have explained some of this before in the Q&A chapter and in my notes.
I am not sure how someone can be so certain when making that kind of judgment. I really did write this myself, from the core ideas to the draft.
Please try not to jump to conclusions like this. For a beginner writer, comments like that can be discouraging. It makes the work feel smaller than it is. Being treated like that is not a good feeling. I am still learning, and that kind of judgment adds a lot of pressure.
Because this came up again, I am thinking about revising parts of the story from the start. The main events will stay the same, but I may adjust how I present and narrate them. I don't know if it will change people's perception, but I want to try.
At the same time, I don't have plan to keep rewriting it over and over after this.
So I might pause updates for a few days while I work on revisions. I will try to finish as soon as I can.
Also, if you are wondering about my update speed, it is because I am not working right now, so I have a lot of time (like a whole day, 24/7) to focus on writing, translating, and editing. Basically doing everything and nothing at the same time. Just sit in front of my laptop.
