Episode 32:
The Ancient Dragon
The journey to the north was colder than anyone expected.
For three days, Arian, Luna, Lyra, and the old wizard traveled across frozen cliffs and silent valleys covered in silver snow. The wind howled like a warning, and even the light of the three moons felt weak in that distant land.
No one spoke much.
The fall of the Moon Kingdom still weighed heavily on their hearts.
On the fourth night, they finally reached the edge of the Frozen Moon Cliffs.
In front of them stood a giant stone gate carved into the mountain.
Ancient symbols glowed faintly across its surface.
Lyra stepped closer, staring at it.
"This place… it's older than the Moon Kingdom itself."
The old wizard nodded.
"It was here long before kings and wars. This is the path to the Temple of Eclipse."
Arian moved toward the gate.
But before he could touch it—
The ground shook violently.
A deep roar echoed across the cliffs.
Everyone froze.
From beneath the frozen mountain, a massive shape slowly rose into the moonlight.
Its scales looked like dark silver steel. Its eyes burned with ancient blue fire. Two giant wings unfolded, casting a shadow over the entire cliff.
Luna's breath caught.
"A dragon…"
The old wizard's face turned pale.
"Not just any dragon," he whispered. "The guardian of the temple."
The creature lowered its enormous head and stared directly at Arian.
Its voice thundered inside their minds.
"Who dares approach the Temple of Eclipse?"
Arian gripped his sword, but Luna touched his arm.
"Wait."
She stepped forward carefully.
"We seek the Moon Flame."
The dragon's glowing eyes shifted to Luna, then back to Arian.
"The Moon Princess… and the chosen human."
Its gaze sharpened.
"Then you have come for truth… and power."
Arian stood taller.
"We came to stop the Dark Prince."
The dragon let out a low growl.
"Many have spoken of noble reasons. Most were destroyed by their own hearts."
Suddenly, the wind around them became wild.
The dragon spread its wings wider.
"If you wish to enter the temple…"
"You must first prove that your bond is stronger than fear."
Before anyone could react, blue fire exploded around Arian and Luna.
A circle of ancient flame surrounded them.
Lyra shouted,
"Arian!"
But the flames rose too high.
Inside the fire, the world around them changed.
The frozen cliffs disappeared.
Arian looked around in shock.
They were standing in darkness.
Only Luna was beside him.
"What is this place?" he asked.
Luna looked just as confused.
"A trial…"
Then a voice echoed through the void.
The dragon's voice.
"Show me the truth of your hearts."
Suddenly, shadows began to appear around them.
But these were not ordinary enemies.
They were visions.
Arian saw his human world burning.
His university.
His old life.
Everything swallowed by darkness.
Luna saw the Moon Kingdom destroyed again and again.
Its people screaming.
Its towers falling.
Then the visions changed.
Arian saw Luna turning away from him.
Luna saw Arian disappearing into a world she could never reach.
Their worst fears.
Their deepest pain.
Luna's voice trembled.
"This dragon is showing us what we fear most…"
Arian turned toward her.
"No matter what I see, I'm not leaving you."
Luna's eyes widened slightly.
The darkness around them grew stronger, whispering lies.
You cannot stay together.
Two worlds cannot become one.
Love will only destroy you both.
Luna covered her ears.
"Make it stop…"
Arian stepped closer and took her hands.
"Look at me."
She slowly did.
Arian's voice was steady, even as the shadows circled them.
"I don't care what these visions say."
"I choose you."
For a moment, everything went silent.
Luna's eyes filled with tears.
The fear inside her heart began to break.
And then—
She smiled softly through her tears.
"And I choose you too."
The moment their hands tightened together, the darkness shattered.
Blue and silver light burst from their joined hands.
The illusion collapsed.
The frozen cliff returned.
The ancient dragon stared at them in silence.
Then, slowly, it lowered its head.
"The trial is complete."
The ring of fire disappeared.
Lyra rushed forward.
"What happened in there?"
Arian looked at Luna.
Then back at the dragon.
"We faced the truth."
The dragon's eyes glowed brighter.
"Then hear mine."
It turned toward the stone gate.
"The Temple of Eclipse will open."
The ancient gate began to tremble.
Light poured through the cracks.
But before the door fully opened, the dragon spoke one final warning:
"Inside the temple, you may gain the power to save both worlds…"
"Or discover the truth that tears them apart."
The gate opened completely.
And beyond it—
A path of moonlight led deep into the mountain.
