After Michael's soul returned to his body, he remained unconscious for seven days. During that time the Adarkwah-Yadom family waited anxiously outside the chamber of the Matoyo Starship. His grandfather, Ben Adarkwah-Yadom, rarely left his side, watching every breath the young boy took. When Michael finally opened his eyes on the seventh day, the entire family felt a wave of relief wash over them. However, Ben immediately noticed something unusual about his grandson. Before the trial, Michael had possessed an extremely powerful mental aura, the sign of a natural telekinetic prodigy. Yet now that aura had almost completely disappeared. Instead, the energy surrounding Michael felt different—stronger physically but quieter mentally. After carefully examining him, Ben realized that Michael's telekinetic power had been sealed to the early stage of Awakening Level 1, while his close-combat cultivation had already reached Awakening Level 6, almost ready to break into Level 7. The discovery shocked him. Such a drastic change could only mean that Zorvath himself had interfered during the trial, sealing Michael's mental abilities so his body could grow stronger first. Although Ben was curious, he decided not to question it yet. There was something more important to do.
According to the ancient rules of the Starfall Covenant, whenever a disciple was chosen by one of the Four Heroes, that disciple would receive a once-in-a-lifetime inheritance reward to assist their cultivation. With this in mind, Ben prepared Michael to attend the official reward ceremony at the headquarters of the Starfall Covenant.
Standing before the enormous building, Michael could not help but admire its majestic architecture. The massive structure was built with materials from multiple planets and engraved with ancient symbols left behind by the Four Heroes. Even before entering, Michael could feel faint remnants of their powerful auras lingering in the air, making the entire place feel sacred and overwhelming. As Michael and his grandfather walked into the hall, they were suddenly stopped by a familiar figure—Chong Li, one of the senior instructors from Ming Dao Academy, one of the top ten warrior schools in the world. Chong Li looked down at Michael with a mocking expression before turning his attention to Ben.
"So the Adarkwah-Yadom family still dares to show its face here," he said coldly. "I thought your glory ended with Steven Adarkwah-Yadom."
His words were clearly meant as an insult.
Ben's eyes narrowed slightly as his Star Warrior aura began to spread across the hall. Chong Li immediately responded with his own power. Both men were late-stage Star Warriors, and their pressure filled the surroundings like a heavy storm, suffocating anyone below their level. Just as the confrontation was about to escalate, a young woman stepped forward.
"Enough."
The voice belonged to Becky Adarkwah-Yadom, one of the rising geniuses of the family. Becky tried to calm the situation, but Chong Li only sneered at her.
"Another Adarkwah-Yadom child trying to act important?"
That insult crossed the line.
Becky's eyes flashed with fury as an overwhelming aura exploded from her body. The entire hall trembled as the power of a Stage 3 Planet Guardian filled the air. Shock spread across the faces of everyone present. It had been 59 years since anyone from the Adarkwah-Yadom family had reached the Planet Guardian stage, and Becky had done it at only twenty-two years old. Before the tension could escalate further, an even more terrifying aura descended from above.
A Galaxy Lord had arrived.
The pressure instantly forced everyone to stop moving. The Galaxy Lord spoke with a cold voice that echoed across the hall. "This is the Starfall Covenant. Anyone who causes conflict here will be expelled immediately and will lose the right to receive any inheritance rewards."
Silence filled the room.
The ceremony continued.
During the gathering, Michael met a boy named Lin Kai, a sixteen-year-old warrior already at Beast Master Stage 5. Despite the age difference, Lin immediately liked Michael's calm personality. The two exchanged names and promised to meet again after the ceremony.
Soon it was time for the inheritance rewards to be distributed.
Each disciple first had to be examined by Donald, the Galaxy Lord who had stopped the earlier conflict. His ability allowed him to identify which of the Four Heroes had chosen each disciple. Afterward, the disciples would proceed to a special chamber where the Starfall Covenant AI system, MAIZE, would assign the appropriate inheritance treasure.
Lin Kai was called first.
When his results were revealed, the entire hall erupted in shock. His reward was a legendary spacecraft known as the Galaxy Devil-A3, built from some of the strongest metals in the universe. The ship was so durable that even a Cosmic Emperor's physical attack would struggle to destroy it. Soul attacks were also unable to penetrate its defenses, making it one of the most powerful treasures ever granted by the Covenant.
Then it was Michael's turn.
He stepped quietly into the scanning chamber where the AI MAIZE began analyzing his spiritual signature. Moments later, the results appeared.
Disciple chosen by: Zorvath, the Void Monarch
Inheritance reward: Solar System Legacy
For several seconds, no one spoke.
Then the entire Starfall Covenant headquarters erupted in shock.
The Solar System Legacy was not merely a treasure—it was the spiritual authority connected to the entire star system itself. Whoever controlled it could potentially influence the destiny of the Solar System. But there was a terrifying condition attached to it. Before claiming ownership, the disciple must communicate with the Oracle Core of the Solar System and prove their worth. During that process, the existence of the new master would be exposed to the wider galaxy, attracting the attention of countless alien civilizations who had long coveted the Solar System's hidden treasures.
And Michael was only seven years old.
The strongest warriors on Earth were currently at the Void Monarch stage, with only seven individuals reaching that level. If a Cosmic Emperor or even a Universal Sovereign discovered Michael's inheritance, Earth would face an unimaginable crisis.
Yet the test had already begun.
To claim the legacy, Michael had to locate and connect with the Oracle Core, a mysterious energy node hidden within the spiritual dimension of the Solar System. On the surface, the task sounded simple—but in reality it was deadly. As Michael began the process, powerful illusions attacked his mind, each one stronger than the last. The closer he came to the Oracle Core, the more violent the illusions became.
Inside the chamber, Michael's body suddenly began to tremble.
His feet lifted off the ground as an invisible force pulled him into the air. His muscles twisted violently as if something inside him was trying to tear its way out.
Michael screamed.
Blood began flowing from his eyes like tears.
Everyone inside the hall watched in stunned silence as the seven-year-old boy endured a level of suffering that would break most adult warriors. Becky clenched her fists nervously while Lin stared in disbelief. But the person most terrified was Ben.
Michael's grandfather could only watch helplessly.
Suddenly the screaming stopped.
For a brief moment, the hall became completely silent.
Then cracks began spreading across Michael's skin.
Blood burst out from the tiny fractures, covering his entire body as if his flesh was breaking apart from the inside. The Galaxy Lord overseeing the ceremony immediately realized the danger.
"If the cracking continues…" he muttered grimly.
"…the boy's body will explode."
Michael's body convulsed violently once more as the invisible force tightened around him.
And the Oracle Core had still not accepted him.
Would the seven-year-old successor of the Void Monarch truly survive…
—or would the legacy of Zorvath end here?
