"Sorry…" Orion whispered hoarsely against his ear, one hand tightening around Finn's waist as he struggled to restrain the ancient instincts clawing beneath his skin.
The air around them grew hotter by the second.
Both Finn and Orion were sweating profusely now, as though their bodies had been thrown into flames despite having left the bathtub only moments ago.
Faint golden scales flickered across Orion's neck before disappearing again, while thin streams of smoke escaped from his nose and ears. His pupils had long since narrowed into dragon slits, glowing fiercely within the dimly lit room.
Finn trembled violently beneath him, his body struggling to withstand the overwhelming dragon aura surrounding him. It felt as though molten fire was spreading beneath his skin, burning through every vein and nerve.
