The strong aroma of the bubbling hot pots before Finn, Orion, and Darren filled the air. Various dishes had been laid out across the table, accompanied by expensive wines and chilled juices that had been personally ordered by Orion and served by the palace servants.
For a brief moment, the three of them focused on eating, but the conversation soon drifted back to the matter they were discussing before.
"I just knew it," Finn muttered, stuffing a piece of chicken into his mouth before shaking his head in disgust. "That bastard wants to become king so badly."
"What did you expect?" Darren replied with a heavy sigh. He lifted his wine cup and drained it in a single gulp before immediately pouring himself another. "You should know by now that the villainous transmigrators are always interested in gaining power. Becoming king would allow them to control everyone and everything around them. Honestly, I'm not surprised at all."
