CHAPTER 57. NOT GIVING UP
Roman had the same thought.
He remembered when Apollo said that her spirit beast was more ancient than she think.
Could this be what he meant?
"Well you are more stronger than your average rank. And you unlocked your spirit weapon the same day you awakened"
Roman said.
"Wait what ? She got her spirit weapon at the Cub stage, thats cheating "
Lunar complained.
"Anyway, you've always had more power than usual, maybe your body isn't strong enough to receive more from your spirit beast"
Roman explained.
"That's a good theory. Sometimes when I'm fighting , I feel my spirit beast trying to push something into me, but there's always this restriction."
Sylver said.
"And you have more defensive abilities than most"
Lunar added.
"I'm even one more step to reaching the Beast Knight stage. I've formed the fifth core"
Sylver shrugged.
"Wait what?"
Roman's eyes widen.
He didn't even realized it.
The three of them were four star Noble, but now Sylver had added another core.
All she had to do now was to fuse the five star core together, creating another Ringed core , the she would evolve to the next stage, a Beast Knight.
But fusing the five cores was as difficult as forming a core.
And the pain of evolution was something else.
Roman smiled and relax against the shelf.
"I guess you've topped me again "
"Hey..."
Sylver smiled.
"I'm your shield remember, I'm supposed to be stronger"
She chuckled.
"She has a point. But I'm not backing down. Don't make me turn you to my second rival pretty girl"
Lunar said and they chuckled.
"You know.."
Roman folded his arms and closed his eyes.
"I've actually been trying to distract myself with this Tiger Clan stuff on purpose"
He released a breath.
Lunar and Sylver looked at him.
"What do you mean?"
Lunar asked.
"Well, I'm stuck."
He opened his eyes.
"I haven't awakened yet, and the way it was naturally supposed to go, I should have been stuck at Cub stage.
If it wasn't for my ability to absorb beast crystal energy, I wouldn't have reached this far.
But now I'm stuck"
He raised his hand and folded it into a fist.
"Basic rank crystals doesn't work anymore. Heck, it doesn't even give me energy.
Secondary Rank crystal barely does anything.
Advanced ranked feels like I'm drinking water "
"And Dad told you not to hunt the magical ranked beast in the mountain so you could hone your sword skills"
Lunar added.
"Yeah "
Roman nodded.
"And I was so excited to come to Avalon that I forgot to hunt some magical rank beast "
"And we're not even allowed to leave the city without a proper reason"
Sylver said.
Roman nodded.
"But it's okay, you're still stronger and skilled than a lot. And your spirit beast will awaken soon, I can't wait for that day.
Damn, you and I are gonna fight to fullest "
Lunar's eyes glowed.
"Calm down dude "
Roman chuckled.
"We're gonna keep growing together"
Sylver said.
She wrapped her arms around him and pulled him in closer to herself.
"You've been working really hard since the day we met, and that's how you got your strength. You should be proud.
We're gonna reach the Celestial stage together, I just know it, cause you're the one to give up"
She smiled.
"Thanks Sylver, I guess I needed that"
Roman replied enjoying the embrace.
"Damn I need a big sister too, why I'm I the only child "
Lunar complained.
They suddenly burst into laughter.
It was weight lifting moment.
"Goodness gracious.....I miss my youthful days.."
A voice suddenly said.
The trio turned to see Sir Pendragon standing beside them.
They didn't even sense his presence.
"The hell...do you used to be an assassin or something.?
Lunar frowned.
"Goodness gracious..."
Sir Pendragon chuckled
"Assassin...no, but something... yes "
Roman looked at him from where he sat.
The old man was really tall.
"Hey Penny.."
Roman said
"You've been here for a long time. What do you know about the Tiger Clan?"
