CHAPTER 58 NOT MUCH ANSWERS
"Hey Penny.."
Roman said
"You've been here for a long time. What do you know about the Tiger Clan?"
An unexpected question from Roman.
The question even caught the others by surprised.
"I'm done playing around"
Roman stood.
"I saw the look on your eyes when I first came in. I have a resemblance to a certain someone, and you know that, don't you ?"
Sir Pendragon stared at Roman for a while with a smile on his face.
"You look just like your father Ray.
Goodness gracious...Ray was more of a wild card with ambitions greater than him.
I watched him grow, you can I say I practically raised the boy."
Sir Pendragon turned and began walking away.
"But where's the fun in telling you stories now.
Just drop by once in a while and I'll tell a thing or two."
He chuckled, then paused on his tracks and glanced at Roman.
"If you really wanna know more about the Tiger Clan, there's a huge book about it, written by me of course"
He chuckled.
"It's locked in the King's castle library. And there's also an artifact you might find useful.
But it'll continue to be useless unless you get it... from the King's castle"
Sir Pendragon smirked.
"Kids ought to have their own fair of fun and mischief, goodness gracious...I myself committed a lot of mischief during my youthful days.
How nice it was..."
He stared into space for a while.
"Anyway..at the back of the Library, there's a hidden underground tunnel that leads all around the kingdom, including to the castle.
If you can find it, sure...
But if you get caught snooping around the castle.... your uncle the King might not be so welcoming...."
Sir Pendragon 's voice trailed behind as he walked towards another isle.
The trio remained quiet for sometime, digesting all they had heard.
After a while, Roman face Sylver and Lunar, then smirked.
"I know that face "
Lunar rolled his eyes.
"I'm in"
Sylver said.
"Plus, we know that there was a possibility of sneaking to the castle, we talked about it back in class.
And now we have a start, we find the tunnels "
She added.
Roman looked at Lunar, the smirked didn't fade.
"Fine I'm in, but we need a very long and detailed plan "
"I got that covered "
Roman said as he walked towards the rails and looked down.
"Hey Fury!"
He called out.
It took a short while, but the red squirrel rushed with intense speed from where ever it was and leaped towards Roman.
It climbed his body and stood on the shoulder.
Fury let out a squeal with arms folded.
"I have a job for you.."
Roman said
"Think you can handle it?"
Fury squealed.
It raised it's tiny chest nodded.
"What's he gonna do?"
Lunar asked.
"Fury is a Pathfinder remember, he can locate the tunnels then find the right way to the castle"
Roman said, then faced the squirrel.
"I want you to find a tunnel, it's somewhere outside the Library, possibly hidden, do think you can find it?"
Fury let out a squeak then nodded.
"Alright then, of you go"
Fury jumped off his shoulder and ran off.
"I always forget that he's an advanced ranked beast"
Sylver said.
"Same here"
Lunar nodded
Roman looked towards the window.
The rain was still falling heavily, but he could tell that it was almost dawn.
They have been in the library thought out the night without realizing it.
"It's almost time for the morning drills "
He said.
"Crap, I missed my beauty rest "
Lunar's shoulder slumped.
Beast Masters are able to stay awake for up to two days, depending on the stages though.
"We should go, I don't think sir Brock will accept the rain as an excuse "
Sylver said.
"I'm definitely winning this time"
Lunar smiled.
"You wish"
Sylver shot back.
"Non of you are gonna win, so don't think much about it"
Roman smirked.
"Bring it on rival"
Lunar beamed.
As they walked towards the door, Sylver waved her hands at the librarian.
"See you later Penny.."
She said.
Sir Pendragon glaced at them and smiled.
"My doors are always for you guys. We might even have tea next time "
Penny chuckled.
Roman smiled and shook his head as they left.
They heavy rain greeted them as they stepped out of the library, but Sylver was quick to create a force field over them.
"I can't believe it has only been a day"
Lunar said.
