Hero reached the safety of his home, but the adrenaline still pulsed through his veins like liquid fire. He sank into his chair, staring into the empty space where Time resided. "Will that monster come for us again? Was the threat real, or are we just living in an illusion?"
Time's voice resonated in the room, cold, ancient, and utterly detached. "He lacks the conviction to abandon his grand design merely to settle a score with you. The fear you instilled in him is currently paralyzing his every ambition. He is too busy saving his own hide to even remember your existence."
"What is his plan?" Hero demanded, his voice trembling with a mixture of curiosity and dread. "And you—you possess power that could dismantle an S-Rank threat with a flick of your will, yet you remain a passive observer. Who are you, truly?"
Time replied with a chilling calm, "You ask about his plan, but you cannot possibly comprehend it yet. Your power is not yet sufficient to grasp such truths, nor are you ready to face what lies behind them. As for me, I am merely a spirit, a traveler in this tapestry of existence, here to observe."
Hero shook his head in frustration. "If he returns... if we are forced into a corner, can we survive?"
"No," Time replied bluntly. "Should a confrontation occur, you would not stand a chance. He would extinguish your life in a heartbeat. But rest assured, his path will not cross yours again."
Deep Underground: The Vampire Lair
In the damp, decaying tunnels beneath the city—a place where sunlight was a forgotten myth—the vampire leader, Vladix, convened with his two fearsome brethren. Beside him stood Mortis, a pale, emaciated sorcerer whose veins pulsed with black ink, and Xeros, a skeletal, hulking creature of pure, raw brutality.
"That human boy..." Vladix growled, his eyes burning with crimson rage. "He dismantled my mutant in three strikes! He knows our mission."
Mortis chuckled, a sound like dry leaves. "Then we accelerate. We initiate the ritual in five days, before the Association's worms can sniff us out."
Vladix issued his commands: "I will descend into the dungeon's heart to corrupt its core with Demonic Energy. Mortis, you shall craft the blood formation. Xeros, go forth and gather the sacrifices needed to fortify the foundation. Once complete, we seal the perimeter with an impenetrable barrier."
Hunter Association & The New Arrival
The Hunter Association was a hive of frantic activity, humiliated by the vampire escaping Ken. Far away, atop a jagged skyscraper in another city, an 18-year-old girl named Elena gazed into the horizon, sensing the corrupt, pulsating energy radiating from the distant city like a festering wound.
An older woman stood behind her, her expression grave. "Elena, if they succeed in summoning the General, the fabric of this reality will unravel. You must intervene before the ritual concludes."
"I am departing tonight," Elena said, her eyes flashing with cold resolve. "And I will not be facing this darkness alone. Our specialist is already en route to meet me."
