Forum Room – SV Defiance Vanguard
The SV Defiance Vanguard, the colossal star vessel that was once the flagship of the mighty Xothek Imperium Order Armada, hovered in the planet's orbit. It recently began to orbit in space around the parallel line of planet Astashica which was aligned with New Asemeri colony. Chieftain Cosmus, Meiannia (his daughter), Maclar (his trusted bodyguard), Chieftain Ixtiel, and 30 of his generals had gathered together inside the Forum Room of the starship. They were sitting, surrounding a large rectangular, thick, radiant, tempered glass table. Cosmus began to speak, "I've decided to hold this gathering today. Let's talk regarding anything you have concluded in the past few days that you want to do," he said.
"Let's invade Val'katl dominion. Its is weak and poorly defended. It possesses fertile lands and the colony New Asemeri," Chieftain Ixtiel said. "Sounds like a good plan. We should possess New Asemeri. It is the most technological advanced of all the Asemeri colonies in Astashica. Taking it means we will star this war for sole dominion of the planet with a good foothold," Cosmus said. "If all of you do not contend against this plan, I'll prepare all my forces and Formicron mechas, my fighter ships and everything else and I'll invade the marshes of Leipira in Val'katl. I'll stablish my foothold there and build a base in the marshes to gather all my forces and to keep pushing in until I find and surround New Asemeri colony," Ixtiel said. "Excellent thought. I'll send Meiannia (she is the head of all of Cosmus' spies) in advance to scout the land in Val'katl dominion and to provide us with all the intelligence we need so you can carry out your encroachment utterly," Cosmus said. "With all my gratitude, I'll go back now to my home base in my dominion and begin preparing my forces. I'll await for any further orders," Chieftain Ixtiel said.
Inside the Interceptor-Class Scout Star Vessel
The Salgaran Interceptor-Class Scout Star Vessel piloted by Akashma Xil'ha and Kaelor Wyn had reached the vicinity of the colony New Asemeri, in Val'katl dominion. It was located in front of a nearby great central lake, the only one in Val'katl dominion. "We've made it. We've reached New Asemeri," Akashma said. She was manning the medium-sized star vessel through her holographic control panel. "I'm glad we've made it. The journey to get here felt so long and dangerous," Kaelor Wyn said, as he controlled the vessel's secondary functions and trajectories in his holographic monitor. Then the Scout vessel where they were traveling approached the air and space traffic control tower embedded in the wall by the primary gate of the colony. The operators contacted them through their communication system, "Welcome to New Asemeri. Please state reason for your visit," they said. "We want to enter for official business," Akashma replied. "State your credentials," the operators said. "I'm Akashma Xil'ha, from the Salgar dominion. I'm an official representative of the Crimson Order of Salgar," Akashma said. "You are welcomed, your majesty. Please enter the colony," the traffic control tower said. Then the two massive, thick, reinforced metallic gate doors began to open. It made a loud noise as it opened. The serene scout interceptor vessel of Akashma's shortly entered the colony as the gate's door closed back behind them with a loud noise. "Kaelor, we are now inside New Asemeri," Akashma said. "Good. Now let's find the lad," Kaelor said. "They probably went to a refugee shelter in the colony. You need to work or live here to enter this colony, there's no other way," Akashma said. "There's no homeless here?" Kaelor said. "Only if you live in the refugee shelters of the colony, otherwise no one is allowed to roam homelessly. If they find you, they relocate you to a refugee shelter, as an ordinance of the colony," Akashma said. "Got it. So let's search all the refugee shelters of New Asemeri and find Tlandar," Kaelor said. "The problem is, New Asemeri is big, very big. We have a lot of work to do," Akashma said. "You're kidding! Seriously? How big is this colony?" Kaelor said. "It has grown into an square, 12 times 12 miles large," Akashma said.
Refugee Complex 54777 – New Asemeri Colony
Tlandar, with his family, had recently, and in the past few days, arrived to Refugee Complex 54777, in the Administrative Sector of New Asemeri. They were given an small room for each member of the family. Tlandar was given one room for himself. Kaelis, his father, got his own room. Almira his mother got a room for herself and her three young daughters. Their rooms were close to each other. Their rooms were arrayed straight, amongst thousands of other refugee rooms, along an straight hallway. The hallway connected between a large elevator and the refuge's lobby. Almost all of the refuge's inhabitants sat in couches in the lobby of the shelter, as there was a large holographic screen there where they watched the news. Dozens of refugees from all over Val'katl used to sit in the lobby. The lobby also connected to an adjacent, large room that hosted 4 food vendors and a coffee shop. Those with Kuprix currency could buy food there. Many residents of the refugee used to sit in the lobby with their family members or with known acquaintances. There were also single refugees.
Tlandar and his family sat in the lobby's couches and were watching the live news. "Thousands of refugees from Verdantis Nexus have been evacuated to New Asemeri. Bands of marauders from Ixtiel sacked and burned the village down. The marauders have been a threat to Val'katl dominion for many years but now they ultimately attacked dozens of villages and towns in Val'katl. This was their major strike. Thousands of dead bodies in Val'katl lay about in Val'katl," the Asemtek female reporter said in the news. "This is New Asemeri News broadcasting. Stay tune for more updates," the reporter said.
"We will remember our neighbors who died in that terrible attack on our village," Kaelis said. "We're lucky to have been able to get out of there," Tlandar said. "Absolutely, and we're now all gathered here together, alive," Kaelis said. "What are we going to do now, dad, without a house and our farm?" Tlandar said. "We'll wait here until this turmoil ends," Kaelis said. "Do you think they might try to take New Asemeri?" Tlandar asked. "Why do you think that? Who is gonna take New Asemeri?" Kaelis said. "The Ixtielan marauders who attacked our village," Tlandar said. "Not likely. This not a defenseless colony. It is a big city, with huge protective walls and towers. And there are Formicron mecha forces here that can immediately drive them away," Kaelis said. "Governor Rasnak, the ruler of this colony, has been generous with us. He takes care of us and our needs," Almira said. "We appreciate his kindness and admire him," a nearby Temsek refugee said.
New Asemeri Palace, Administrative Sector
Akashma and Kaelor landed their scout vessel in a nearby landing pad in a large hotel spire in the administrative sector. They got off their ship and asked the hotel clerk to have their ship moved to a guest spaceship hangar in the top floor of the hotel and keep it there for 2 weeks. They paid 1,400 Kuprix to the hotel clerk. And they were given a large room in an upper floor in the hotel. "For now, we'll rest here. Our circadian rhythm indicates its time for our bodies to go sleep. It's been a long journey to come here. We spanned more than 24 hours to get here, without rest. We don't even know if Tlandar is alive at all, yet we bargained it all to find him in this vast colony" Kaelor said. "Sure, then let's take a nap now and then continue our search for him tomorrow. He must be here. He must be alive, I'm sure of it," Akashma said.
