It was normal everyday in class 1.a as it was study, train and repeat as there was some time to bond with each other knowing how to benefit from each knowing they are one student short. But then at the start of a day in school Sensei Hayami announced to the whole class that it is the day that the U.A Sports Festival is approaching. Everyone was excited as it was the moment the day that they can prove themselves to the pro heroes and everyone as their reputation is only that class 1-a is missing a student and other students from different classes are trying to fill that gap and be a part of class 1-a. But no one seemed that they could fit the gap as for the others in class 1-a they prepared as it is only a week away before the sports festival starts.
Each student in class 1-a either trained, studied or watched passed videos posted on the media more about the competition, while some rest conserving energy when the day came for the U.A sports festival.
A week later at school it was finally the day the sports festival had arrived and every student wore their training uniform and made their way towards the entrance of the sports festival. They then saw the announcer's face Present Mic, he greeted them all with a great voice as he honoured the first year students at their first ever U.A Sports Festival. He announced two games and announced the first game to be an obstacle course race and the next game will be a surprise. The race is about who can get to the stadium first and the top eight students will be shown what they will get for game number two. As all students waited at the entrance it slowly opened as the bell rang and everyone was running to win. Students quickly used their quirks to get around, most notable is Fennal's paths he created over the crowd of students and giving him and his class the advantage as he made to only accelerate himself at the others and for anyone who tried will be slower than the rest.
But Takane noticed and nodded at Kento Ibara as he smiled. His hands started to vibrate as he swung his hand creating a projectile slash as it hit Fennal's path as it slowly broke behind them. The others quickly hopped off the path as that slash came from Ibara's quirk soundlines, Flare quickly tried to slow the students behind them with walls, Senda fired his foam, and Kuroda used his static bind to immobilize some of them as class 1-a continued.
"I know class 1-b is desperate but do they really have to destroy my paths?"
"To be fair it did felt unfair"
"Your one to talk Euro"
Suddenly from above they saw Rui Kaizen using her quirk Owl to fly some of her class mates, as two hanging from her talons.
Then towards a two fourth of the race some robots appeared in front of them, but Blaze ran further as he activated body heat and with Poller's help they decimated the robots.
"Who looked like class 1-a knowing to have one less student is working as a team and not individually" they heard from Present Mic as they observed from screens.
Eraserhead took notice of Hayami's students "it seems Hayami taught them all how to work together and adept"
"Really even though they are one student short"
"Yes that as well"
While Aoi spread pollen behind them to slow down the other students as the only class who were advancing through the race was class 1-a and class 1-b.
"WOW, Aoi from 1-a is making the students go to sleep, and that's not all looks like class 1-a are not the only class who will be advancing class 1-b seemed to be catching up to them"
"It seems that Harran's students are on par with Hayami's students"
Then they scaled some tight ropes as Uni and Sachi used their stretchy bodies to help their students who would have trouble with weight as they helped Hamour and Poller. They also used Fennal's pathways again, as Goshi, Peller, and Hino quickly stopped Rui blasting her with the help of Mizuno's sight.
Then at the mind field Blaze didn't waste time not wanting to let class 1-b beat them he ran though the minefield activating body heat again and running through the mine field ignoring the explosion. Euro also didn't waste time as he uses his dimension walk passing through the mines like it's the floor, Mizuno and Reiko use their sight and detection on time. While the other students did it the old fashion way, stepping carefulling.
Meanwhile the heroes took notice of two students who are doing the best that being Blaze and Euro.
"Well these students are easily passing through the mind field"
"Yeah one his using brute force, while the other is phasing"
"This new line of heroes is really something"
But that also didn't stop that class 1-a is doing good despite lacking a student, and class 1-b is also getting some recognition. But the race had come to an end when Blaze passed through the finish line with Euro behind. Others like Fennal, and Reiko, and to their surprise four of class 1-b managed to get the last three rankings Takane, Mirei, and Tsubasa & Takumi Yurei. Soon others came by as it was mostly class 1-a and class 1-b who finished before anyone else thus moving on to game number two.
The next game was a target game as there will need to be form a team of five and one member of each team will need to participate. Other students were thrilled to be working with each other, however for class 1-a it's gonna be harder for them.
"Note the seams had to be a team of five no more no less, and it seems that class 1-a is in a disadvantage since they only have nineteen students"
Then the eight names mentioned were going to be a team leader. The team leaders in class 1-b were already forming the teams, but in class 1-a they are of course in trouble. However they know they had to adapt as the teams were making at class 1-a they decided to be creative as with the help of Astral's creativity, and Mizuno's quirk and Reiko's quirk, they worked with Senda, Flare, Sachi, Kuroda, and Doc Doc as they created their own member, it had ice legs from Flare, mochi arms and torso from Sachi, and a heard shaped and molded from Senda's foam. Kuroda then uses static bind to connect the pieces together and Doc Doc uses his ventriloquist quirk paring it with strings and needles as they somehow successfully created their own twentieth student known as Randomizer.
The others were surprised as the announcer spoke "woah that's unexpected class 1-a just created their own twentieth student is that even allowed?"
"We'll let it be for now, only for this game"
With Randomizer approved they can actually participate properly and class 1-a started to form their teams for the second game.
Team one: Blaze Cainza, Hakirai Goshi, Junix Uni, Hanabria Aoi and Poller Maximoff
Team two: Euro Mirror, Rei Mizuno, Flare Rostica, Mondo Toji, and Staiko Hamour
Team three: Fennal Lani, Doc Doc, Shin Kuroda, Hino Ayamato, and Randomizer
Team four: Reiko Fumoriki, Astral X, Sachi Muchi, Hendrix Delmon, and Senda Kaito
Team five: Takane Shirogane, Kento Ibara, Rui Kaizen, Rina Takeda, and Aya Rindo
Team six: Mirei Kaito, Daisa Rosara, Koro Daisuke, Shimizine Haku, and Shiori Velan
Team seven: Tsubasa Yurei, Renzu Reiner, KidoMasaru, Kira Amanmi and Sketch Hacksaw
Team eight: Takumi Yurei, Bara Grizz, Minori Tsuba, Keru Miru and Himeno Kaoru
With the teams now set up it time to start the next game as there are only five rounds.
The fist was range as it wanted to be fair to some of the physical quirks users as there were metal balls for them to throw at the targets, Goshi, Mondo, Hino, Astral, Ibara, Rosara, Renzu, and Bara. when targets showed Goshi, Mondo, Hino, and Astral showed off their projectiles hitting the targets, but for class 1-b it was different. Bara Grizz walked his quirk was colour rocks as he had some coloured rocks that were colored in a red as he threw it the red created a powerful impact, Ibara showed his sonic vibration slashes as the others recognize when he shattered Fennal's paths as Ibara's quirk is Soundlines. Daisa's quirk is Demi-Shift as she grabbed some balls and her arm turned into a minotaur as she threw and shattered ten target, and Renzu toxic spray quirk, he puffed his cheeks as he spat out toxic fluids from his mouth as it landed on the targets and melted it.
Then after three more rounds as most were about strength showing the stronger based quirk users such as Poller's polar bear's strength, or Hamour's hammer head strikes, then precision benefiting Mizuno's and Reiko's quirk, then rescue work showing how Euro, Senda, and Fennal showed their quirks for rescue. But don't count class 1-b out yet as they also showed off their skill, as both classes did impressing the teachers and heroes. But then the last round of them was a one against one match of class 1-a vs class 1-b with each team's remaining members being Blaze, Takane, Rindo, Kaoru, Velan, Delmon, Flare, and Randomizer.
The first match was Delmon vs Rindo, Delmon started off strong digging underground and striking from above, but then he noticed that Rindo suddenly split as there were many, this is her quirk mirage skin. Delmo tries to strike but suddenly they are shown to be nothing but mirages and since he cannot find her, he loses due to exhaustion.
Next match is Flare vs Velan as Flare created some structures, but as Velan releases energized thread it creates subtle vibrations against her ice almost shattering it. But it didn't stop Flare as she summoned more ice sculptures and made it tumble onto Velan giving her the win.
Next is Randomizer vs Kaoru, as before the battle starts they saw how clunky Randomizer walked and began to whisper stating that this creation isn't even a student as it was created by class 1-a. They heard chatter all around the game when it began people thought it was an easy win for class 1-b. but little did they know that Doc Doc gave it a bit of life as from his ventriloquist quirk. Randomizer moved to dodge the attack as Kaoru's quirk is lemon, Randomizer uses the arms provided by Sachi to extend and grab Kaoru pulling him closer and striking him with the ice legs from Flare, then with one final push Randomizer hugged Kaoru as there was a suddenly spark of electricity thanks to Kuroda's quirk. Kaoru fell to the ground defeated and Randomizer won, everyone was shocked to see an amalgamation of quirks managed to win as it was not even human. Senda, Flare, Sachi, and Kuroda were proud of Doc Do, Astral, Mizuno and Reiko's work for making Randomizer feel real to them all and getting them the win.
Finally it is Blaze vs Takane, before the battle starts Takane spoke to Blaze first when they walked onto the arena. "You know I am shocked to see how claw 1-a managed to improve so much despite being a nineteen class 1-a and not full twenty"
"You're still one about that part, that's lame you know"
"Is it, listen anyone in this school who isn't class 1-a knows there's a spot for everyone to go including class 1-b. But for some reason no one was allowed to go in, and that isn't fair for any of us. Why should lower grades in U.A be unable to join class 1-a when there are more worthy students in other classes, I'm sure people from class 1-c would want to join."
Blaze clinches his fist "I think there is a reason for our class, we don't know why it happened, but I think it's about how we adapt when there are less students"
"Is that what you think, how broad and boring"
When the battle began Blaze charged forward towards Takane going for a quick strike to the side, but as the attack landed Blaze felt the impact instead. He was taken it back out shock as Takane started to laugh "this is my quirk reflection field, any attack you try to throw at me comes back to you no matter how much for you add"
Blaze smirked "so does mean I can push you" Blaze activated body heat and threw in a barrage of punches as none of them hurt him. It did impact Blaze.
"What are you doing, didn't I say that it redirects your quirk?"
"True but there is a thing to who your up against and unfortunately your up against me" Blaze swung hard and faster as if he is slowly getting powered up "my quirk body heat isn't just that made by body to its peak, with every damage I feel I get stronger and durable to the point it's numb!"
Takane's eyes suddenly widened as Blaze is deliberately taking those attacks head on and is slowly gaining more power. Blaze then grabbed his wrist "also you didn't mention that grabbing people isn't on your list!" Then Blaze threw Takane out of the arena as Blaze won and that meant class 1-a won the games of this year's U.A sports festival for year one students.
Takane sighed "I should have known that I had a flaw"
Blaze stepped forward "don't be sorry for, learn that you have something to adapt to"
"I spouted your right, and that class 1-a is perfect with only nineteen students"
Then the crowd cheered for the nineteen students for class 1-a as they will be greatly remembered and respected by them.
