Whirl's time in UA was regular since her full enrollment into the hero course class, as in a few days she has already improved immensely. For two weeks she has already proved herself to be a great student passing her exams, test with ease and when it came down to training Whirl also excelled in that part as she is ranked to be the second or third strongest student in class 2a with Goshi still being on top as the strongest. Whirl has also gotten used to some students in the class, Aoi is one example as she was the first person she interacted with before her official debut. There was also Senda as he was the second person to talk to her properly when she started her first day in UA. Though there was also some competition in the classroom as she made a rival out of Mizuno with study work. But that is all a part of Whirl's idea of a plan to keep her identity a secret from everyone she met and befriended.
Then one day when Whirl was walking to her classroom ready to start another day to observe her class and see their skills in action. But she began to hear voices of students speaking about her, she didn't pay close attention to it. Then some students from general studies stopped her as their faces were all filled with anger and jealousy towards Whirl.
Then one students approached her "well look who it is the famous transfer student and twentieth student of class 2a, how does it feel to be apart of the class everyone is trying to get into"
"I beg your pardon as it feels you are being hostile towards me with that tone of your's"
The student giggled as his eye lid twitched "you don't understand do you… that everyone was trying their hardest to get into class 2a since we were first year students."
"Yeah and they only had nineteen students at the time and that one spot was a chance for us to overcome and earned out spot"
"But you just had to show up, come in and took that spot just because you have a powerful quirk"
The word 'powerful quirk' made Whirl feel uncomfortable as it isn't even hers to begin with as it was just a fake quirk with her father giving her a support construct to assist and follow her command.
But the students continued to talk to her that were filled with hatred and jealousy.
"Whirl Azumaki the wind who took the spot"
"What a joke, that they chose her instead of us whose been here longer"
"A transfer student like you would never understand what we have to go through just to get into the hero course"
Whirl clenched her fist as she did not feel anger or defensiveness from the harsh words of the students who hated her. But felt like she needed to teach them all a lesson "that is enough" her voice spread out like the wind stopping all the students from talking as Whirl continued to talk, "for your information the teachers are the only ones who get to choose who gets in or out of the hero course classes, and Hayami picked his students for adaption and improvement of their quirks. My quirks allow me to generate powerful wind storms and can prove useful for others, but it is also hard to control sometimes that is why I am learning to improve it for mobility purposes like Lani's pathways or Euro's dimension walk.
Then she looked at all the students "Sensei chose me for a reason, but if your hearts and minds are filled with jealousy and hatred towards me just because I was put into the class so suddenly. Then challenge me for that spot and try to take it from me"
Whirl walked through them all as those words she spoke hit them harder than they expected. Then she made her way towards her class as she was nearly late because of those students who tried to block her way. She sat down in her designated seat with Aoi and Senda who noticed Whirl's sudden uneasiness.
Aoi was the first to ask "hey Whirl, are you okay?"
Whirl looked at Aoi "I beg your pardon?"
"I mean you looked tensed, did something happened"
Whirl sighed "yes something did happen, some students who weren't in the hero course classes confronted me. Their expressions were filled with jealousy and hatred towards me stating it was a 'joke' that I was put into your class since it was a class of nineteen students before my arrival"
Senda crossed his arms "that is to be expected, not everyone would take kindly since you took the spot that everyone wanted for years"
"Thank you Senda, but I also challenged them all to try and take my spot"
Poller and Uni laughed as Whirl looked behind "did you really told them to challenge you, I mean your one of the strongest in our class, you can easily defeat them"
Whirl nodded "that is true, but do not underestimate the understanding of determination, if something is further from reach that is impossible, then with subtle encouragement will only make them reach it closer"
Senda raised his eyebrow "are you secretly training them"
"That is one way to put it, but it is a showing of resilience. We'll just see if they are willing to as they say 'take the bait'"
Hayami smirked and crosses his arms "I'm glad to hear you are doing well Azumaki" Whirl looked at Hayami as his words got her attention and he continued to speak "here in this class it wasn't easy when you are the twentieth student of a class that is known for having nineteen students. Before you came to be a part of the hero course nearly hundreds of students who applied here were also trying to get into when my class was 1a" Hayami then showed a diagram chart when he rolled it down from the chalkboard above show the students that applied for the entrance exam the first time they came here. Showing the known nineteen who passed and were already in this class. "My class has been unique since the first year with the obvious difference but as for my students a small group was better for me as for better improvised tactics and creative solutions that focus on each other." mentioning students like Fennal's pathways, Hendrix's tunnels, and so on. But Hayami sighed "but then it also came with problems with hundreds of students who are not in the hero course like the general studies classes trying to compete for that last spot I mentioned. Naturally I would have found a suitable candidate but none met the required requisites I personally designed that's when you came in"
"I see, so my involvement was the reason I was chosen?"
Hayami nodded "you are correct, but pay mistake like other hero course classes teachers are responsible for their students and have the choice to swap them out anytime and replace them with new students, is that understandable everyone.
"Yes Sensei" they all said together.
Now with a new thought in mind Whirl was able to think more clearly now thanks to the thought of how each student that tried to confront her didn't have the requirements sensei Hayami created. Though none would try to face Whirl after her speech as her words alone carried a large amount of breeze that passed through them all. Whirl was expecting at least one of the students of general studies to challenge her in anything. But none ever approached her, not even a single student tried to approach her again the following days. It seemed that Whirl's words gave weight when there was a reason Hayami Quick class 2a's homeroom teacher chooses his students for a reason. Since his class is filled with students that he picked with unpredictable quirks, a good sign to help them adapt in certain situations and even with nineteen before they were the best, until Whirl came and made their class even better for adaptation and improvisation of their quirks for themselves and for others.
