She recall Juliet telling her how they poisoned her father when she was dying in her previous life. But she remember Juliet saying they did it later after he started suspecting the mother and daughter. She believe there was nothing wrong with the soup but she was still worried. After all, these women are vicious and will do anything to reach their goal,what if her rebirth brought butterfly effect. She couldn't take any chances.
"Auntie I would like to have some of the soup", she acted like a spoiled child as she stretched her hand to take the soup passed to her dad. Her hand brushed pass the big pot of soup and it fell to ground with soup spilling all over the ground and debris flying everywhere. "Ah!", she seemed startled, she screamed as she "accidentally" dropped the bowl containing the soup she had taken from her dad on the ground which caused some of the hot soup to splash on her hand.
Everything happened so fast and everyone was stunned for a second before Hance rushed towards her daughter, "you are injured,I need to take you to the hospital", her dad said with a worried face noticing her scalded hand.
"No dad, I'm fine, it's just a slight burn, I'll apply a cream on it", she said feeling guilty for troubling her dad and making him unable to eat but she was worried her dad would be poisoned so she had no choice than to do what she did.
"No, I'm taking you to the hospital. Steve, prepare the car", he said leaving no room for refusal.
"Yes Master", the butler replied as he rushed outside and quickly instructed the driver to bring the car from the garage. Hance held Angela in his arms and turned to Sophia and said, "I'm taking Angela to the hospital, I'm sorry for what happened to the soup you made for me. I appreciate your effort, go upstairs to avoid getting yourself hurt and let the maids take care of it". He then left with his daughter.
" Mom that bitch did it on purpose, she wants attention that's why she deliberately spilled the soup", Juliet said with anger.
"Mom what are you thinking, I'm talking to you", she raised her voice when she didn't get a response from her mom and realized she was in a daze.
"Don't you find Angela strange, it seems she has changed", Sophia snapped out of her daydream as she said to her daughter. She recalled how Angela used few words to put her daughter on the spot. The Angela she knows was simple minded and easy to manipulate. She didn't know if she was over thinking.
"She's just jealous that her father is paying attention to us", Juliet said not taking it seriously.
'Am I really overthinking ', Sophia started doubting herself. "Whether she's just throwing a tantrum or not, we'll know one day. Let's go upstairs and be careful not to step on the debris and get hurt ", she said to her daughter as she stood up and carefully walked around the mess on the floor followed by Juliet who had a scowl on her face.
"Be careful not to get water on the wound", the doctor said as he was done treating the burn on Angela's hand.
"Doctor,will it leave a scar?", Hance asked with a worried expression, he didn't want his daughter to be depressed, after all which girl doesn't like beauty.
"Don't worry,it won't leave any scar, just apply this cream on it everyday", the doctor had a warm smile on his face as he wrote the prescription of the cream and passed it to him.
Hance thanked the doctor after receiving the prescription and lead his daughter out of the hospital and into the car packed at the entrance.
"How are you feeling,does it still hurt?", he asked with a worry and heartache.
"No dad,it doesn't hurt anymore", Angela replied with a smile, it really didn't hurt much after the doctor applied the cream on the wound.
"You did it on purpose", Hance suddenly said after few minutes of silence. Angela panicked a little when she realized her father has seen through her, how should she explain. Should she tell her father she's been reborn?
