Anisha, who had been awake, opened her eyes slowly. She looked beside her and saw that Nhel wasn't there. Slowly, she scanned the room before sitting up.
What happened last night? The memory felt too vivid to ignore.
It was because of this that she had feigned sleep. She didn't have the boldness to look Nhel in the face.
"Can my letter get to Willowvale from here?" Anisha asked the red-haired servant. Since she had no friends in this kingdom to turn to, she could only reach out to her sister.

Anisha dipped the quill into the ink and moved her hand to write.
"My lady, is there a problem?" the servant asked when she saw Anisha hesitate.
Anisha had second thoughts about sending such a letter. Officials checked the contents of letters for security purposes. She wouldn't want them reading what she planned to write.
