Silas understood. He dropped his defensive stance, exposing his chest. As Fenris lunged forward, Silas didn't strike back. He grabbed Fenris's shoulders and pulled him into a fierce embrace. The golden light of the Alpha and the silver light of the Omega surged together, flowing into Fenris.
For a moment, the black mist around Fenris shivered and then shattered like glass. His grey eyes flickered, the life returning to them for a split second. Malphas shrieked in rage as his control over his greatest puppet began to slip.
