Chapter 112 - "The Song of the Moon-Oak"

Chapter 109: The Song of the Moon-Oak

The corruption spreading from Malphas's Dark Pulse was like a black poison, seeping into the very roots of the Moon-Oak. The silver leaves, once glowing with eternal light, began to wither and fall. Elara felt a stabbing pain in her chest—the tree wasn't just a plant; it was the heartbeat of the Omega nation, and it was dying.

"It's over!" Malphas shrieked, his dark form expanding as he drained the life force from the sacred ground. "When the tree falls, your 'Covenant' falls with it!"

Silas looked at Fenris, who was still weak but finally free from the black mist. "Can you stand?" Silas asked, extending a hand.

Fenris took it, his grip firming. "I've spent too long in the shadows, Silas. It's time to face the sun."

Elara stepped toward the base of the trunk, ignoring the obsidian energy that burned her skin. She didn't try to push the darkness away this time. Instead, she began to sing—a low, haunting melody that seemed to come from the ancestors themselves. It was the Song of the Moon-Oak.

"Silas! Fenris! Give me your hands!" Elara commanded.

The three of them formed a circle around the dying tree. Silas's golden aura, Elara's silver light, and Fenris's reclaimed strength merged into a single, blinding white flame. They weren't just defending the tree; they were feeding it with their own life energy, their shared history, and their hope for the future.

The ground began to vibrate. The black veins on the tree roots started to turn silver again. With a final, explosive surge of power, the Moon-Oak released a shockwave of pure lunar energy. Malphas screamed as his dark form was torn apart by the very light he tried to extinguish.

As the dust settled, the Moon-Oak stood taller than ever, its leaves crystalline and singing in the wind. Malphas was gone, but the valley had changed forever.
