Chapter 15 - ❥˙๑The Night she was Followed ❥˙๑

But Olivia kept walking.

Calm.

....Too calm.

Delia didn't stop.She followed.

Silently.

Patiently.

Olivia suddenly stopped again. She caught her breath and turned her head to the side.

Prince Avelvion's room was right beside her.

Lucky

she whispered while a small smile tugged at her lips .

She walked straight toword the door it.

The knights standing guard immediately blocked her path and stared at her.

"What are you doing here?" one of them asked coldly.

Still trying to think quickly, Olivia looked at them and asked,

"Is Prince Avelvion inside?," she said.

She smiled brightly, but the two knights were not easily swayed.

"I think he's already asleep," the knight on the right replied coolly, eyeing her with suspicion.

"You'd better go back," the other one added, looking her up and down.

Olivia widened her sparkling eyes and pouted.

"Pleasee, I just want to talk to him for a moment," she said while looking at them pitifully.

The knights exchanged confused glances.

"How about tomorrow morning?" one of them suggested.

At once, Olivia's sparkling eyes filled with tears.

Hehe, with this, you can never win

she muttered inwardly.

Then she sat down and started crying.

"Nooo! I want Javien now!" she wailed loudly, throwing herself onto the floor.

She deliberately threw a tantrum right in front of the door, hoping Avelvion would wake up.

The knights tried to calm her down, but Olivia had no intention of stopping until she got inside.

Clack.

The sound of a doorknob turning made everyone freeze.

The door opened.

Avelvion's nanny stepped out from inside the room. Her gaze was cold as she looked down at Olivia. Her smile was nowhere to be seen.

But the moment Olivia lifted her head, the nanny suddenly smiled as though nothing was wrong.

"What happened?" she asked the knights.

One of them leaned over and whispered something to her while glancing intensely at Olivia.

Olivia hiccuped softly.

"Olivia, please don't disturb our prince," the nanny said. Though she was smiling, the corners of her mouth twitched as if her anger could burst out at any moment.

Olivia looked at her from the corner of her eye and smiled back.

"Please, I want to see His Highness," she said innocently, fiddling with her fingers.

Even so, she knew the nanny had no intention of letting her in. After all, too many things were happening inside that room.

She was still trying to think of a way in when suddenly, she heard a voice.

"What's going on?"

It was Avelvion's voice.

The nanny gasped and quickly tried to close the door, but. Before the nanny could react, Olivia quickly slipped past her and rushed into the room.

"Avelvion, I want to ask you something," she said the moment she stepped into his room.

She ran toward Avelvion, who was still half-asleep.

Please let me stay here for a moment.

That was the only thing in Olivia's mind.

Immediately, the knights and the nanny moved into the room to seize Olivia, but just as they were about to grab her arm, Avelvion smile and gave them a sharp glare.

They instantly stepped back.

Delia, who had witnessed everything from afar, quietly returned to her room at once.

"Your Highness, that little brat barged in and behaved disrespectfully toward you," the nanny said through gritted teeth, her eyes blazing as she glared at Olivia.

Olivia only gave her a side eyes and smiled.

"You may leave," Avelvion said slowly, covering his face with one hand as if still trying to wake up.

The nanny bowed, though she continued glaring at Olivia with undisguised anger before finally leaving.

The room fell silent. Then Avelvion looked at Olivia.

"You. What are you doing here?" he asked sharply.

Olivia chuckled, dragged a chair over to sit beside him, and began telling him the entire story from beginning to end.

Avelvion only nodded and interrupted her a few times with questions.

As soon as she finished, she leaned closer and whispered something else into his ear.

His eyebrows knitted together.

"What the hell are you doing?" he exclaimed.

Without thinking, Olivia quickly covered his mouth with her hand and shushed him, placing a finger against her lips.

Avelvion stared at her in disbelief.

"Just listen to what I'm trying to say," she muttered through gritted teeth while forcing a smile.

"I want to see if he's still alright," she continued.

Then she picked up her lantern again and covered her head with her shawl.

After saying goodbye, Olivia moved toward the door while Avelvion continued staring at her, still visibly confused by her actions.

But before she could touch the doorknob, Avelvion called out to her.

"Okey! Let's go together," he said.

Then he got out of bed and grabbed his own head covering.

He even handed it to Olivia.

Olivia smiled, but a thought suddenly crossed her mind.

But what if we get caught? He might get punished.

Olivia quickly pulled Avelvion head covering until he fell down on the floor.

"What are you doing?" he asked, glancing Olivia while hitting his back.

Olivia eyes open wider while hold her laugh using her hand . Shelowered her head.

"But what if we get caught?" while a little chuckle can be heard.

"It doesn't matter… don't think too much," he muttered as he reached for the doorknob.

But then he suddenly froze.

"What happened?" Olivia asked quietly while slapped her face.

Avelvion's expression stiffened, but he did not answer her question. He rolled his eyes.

He turned toward the window and grinned.

"How about we go out through the window?"

What?

Olivia whispered in shock. Olivia stared at him.

…Why do I feel like this is going to end badly?

…What exactly was he planning?
