Chapter: The Private Jet Jealousy
(Jay's POV)
The Watson private jet was ridiculous.
And I mean ridiculous.
I had flown private before. ELVIOLN had its own small fleet for business trips. But this?
This was something else.
Cream leather seats that probably cost more than some people's cars. A full lounge area. A bedroom in the back. A mini bar. And flight attendants who looked like they stepped out of a magazine.
I sat in one of the massive seats, staring out the window as the New York skyline shrank beneath us.
Keifer sat beside me, already reviewing something on his tablet like the billionaire CEO he apparently was now.
Across from us, Aries and Percy were arguing about the movie selection.
Cin and Rakki were cuddled together like they hadn't seen each other in years instead of hours.
Denzel was trying to get Grazel to nap while Grace scrolled through her phone.
And Serina and Kaizer sat at the front, looking perfectly elegant like they owned the sky.
Which, honestly, they probably did.
I leaned back in my seat.
This was fine.
Everything was fine.
We were all going back to the Philippines together.
Family trip.
No drama.
Then—
"Mr. Watson?"
A soft, sweet voice interrupted my peaceful thoughts.
I looked up.
One of the flight attendants was standing beside Keifer.
She was beautiful.
Flawless makeup.
Perfect hair.
Uniform that fit just right.
And she was smiling at Keifer like he was the only person on the plane.
My eye twitched.
Keifer looked up from his tablet.
"Yes?"
The flight attendant leaned slightly closer.
"Can I get you anything, Mr. Watson?"
Her voice was practically honey.
"Champagne? A snack? Perhaps a blanket if you'd like to rest?"
I stared at her.
Perhaps a blanket.
PERHAPS A BLANKET.
Keifer, completely oblivious, shook his head.
"I'm fine, thank you."
The flight attendant didn't leave.
She smiled even wider.
"Are you sure? It's a long flight to the Philippines. I want to make sure you're comfortable."
My fingers tightened around the armrest.
Aries suddenly coughed loudly.
"Jay's face right now—"
Percy nodded.
"Murder."
I shot them both a death glare.
They grinned in unison.
The flight attendant finally noticed me.
Her eyes flickered over me briefly.
Then back to Keifer.
Like I was invisible.
"Oh, is this your first time on the Watson jet?" she asked me sweetly.
Too sweetly.
I smiled.
Fake smile.
The one I used in board meetings when someone annoyed me.
"Yes."
"How lovely."
She turned back to Keifer.
"I remember when you first started flying with us, Mr. Watson. You were always so polite."
Keifer frowned slightly.
"I… don't remember that."
She laughed.
A tinkling little laugh that made me want to throw something.
"Oh, you wouldn't. You were always so focused on your work."
She leaned closer.
"But I remember."
I saw red.
Cin suddenly whispered loudly to Rakki.
"Jay's about to commit a crime."
Rakki nodded.
"First class crime."
Grace covered Grazel's ears.
"Baby, don't watch this."
Denzel looked confused.
"Watch what?"
The flight attendant continued her assault.
"If there's anything at all you need during the flight—"
"I think he's good."
The words came out of my mouth before I could stop them.
Everyone froze.
The flight attendant looked at me.
Raised an eyebrow.
"Excuse me?"
I smiled sweetly.
"I said I think he's good."
She tilted her head.
"Are you his assistant?"
My smile tightened.
"No."
"His secretary?"
Aries snorted.
Percy buried his face in a pillow.
Cin grabbed Rakki's arm.
"Here we go."
I stood up slowly.
Calmly.
Dangerously.
"I'm his—"
But before I could finish—
Keifer grabbed my hand.
Pulled me down onto his lap.
And kissed me.
Not a small kiss.
A proper kiss.
The kind that left no room for misunderstanding.
When he finally pulled back, I was stunned speechless.
He looked at the flight attendant calmly.
"She's my fiancée."
The flight attendant's perfect smile cracked.
"Oh."
"I didn't— I'm so sorry— I didn't realize—"
Keifer shrugged.
"No problem."
Then he added,
"But if you could bring her some champagne? She gets jealous easily."
I hit his chest.
"I DO NOT GET JEALOUS EASILY!"
Aries screamed with laughter.
"SHE JUST PROVED HIS POINT!"
Percy was crying.
"THIS IS THE BEST FLIGHT EVER!"
Cin high-fived Rakki.
"Goal."
Denzel looked at Grace.
"What just happened?"
Grace sighed.
"Your wife's best friend almost fought a flight attendant."
Denzel nodded.
"Ah. Normal Tuesday."
Even Serina was laughing from the front.
Kaizer shook his head.
"That's my boy."
The flight attendant retreated quickly, face bright red.
I glared at Keifer.
"You enjoyed that."
He grinned.
"Immensely."
"You're terrible."
"You love me."
I crossed my arms.
"I'm still jealous."
He raised an eyebrow.
"Of someone who doesn't exist to me?"
"She was flirting with you!"
"She was doing her job."
"Her job is NOT to lean over you asking if you need a BLANKET."
He laughed.
Pulled me closer.
"If I wanted a blanket, I'd use you."
My face turned red.
"THAT'S NOT ROMANTIC!"
"It's practical."
Aries fake gagged.
"GROSS."
Percy nodded.
"PUBLIC DISPLAY OF AFFECTION ALERT."
Cin covered his eyes.
"I can't watch."
Rakki smirked.
"Yes you can."
Grazel suddenly woke up.
Pointed at us.
"Keif! Smol! Kiss!"
The entire plane went silent.
Then—
Aries screamed.
"THE BABY SHIPS THEM!"
Percy fell off his seat.
"THIS IS ICONIC!"
Denzel looked proud.
"That's my daughter."
Grace buried her face in her hands.
"I'm so sorry."
I laughed so hard tears came to my eyes.
Keifer pulled me closer.
"Even the baby approves."
I leaned against him.
"Shut up."
"Make me."
I kissed him.
Briefly.
Quickly.
But enough.
Aries fake gagged again.
"AGAIN?!"
Percy threw a pillow at us.
"GET A ROOM!"
Cin pointed.
"THERE IS LITERALLY A BEDROOM IN THE BACK!"
Rakki nodded.
"Use it."
I flipped them off.
They cheered.
Serina called from the front.
"Children! Behave!"
Kaizer added,
"But also, we're proud of you."
I buried my face in Keifer's chest.
"I'm never flying with them again."
He kissed the top of my head.
"Yes you will."
"No."
"Yes."
"I hate you."
"You love me."
I sighed.
"Unfortunately."
The flight attendant returned with champagne.
Carefully placed it on the table beside me.
Avoided eye contact completely.
"Your champagne, ma'am."
I smiled.
"Thank you."
She nodded quickly and left.
Aries raised his glass dramatically.
"TO JAY! WHO WON THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT BATTLE WITHOUT THROWING A PUNCH!"
Percy added,
"BUT SHE WANTED TO!"
Cin laughed.
"WE ALL SAW IT!"
I grabbed my champagne.
"To shutting up all of you."
They cheered.
Grazel clapped.
"Smol! Smol! Smol!"
Keifer laughed.
"Even the baby toasts you."
I grinned.
"Because she knows who's in charge."
Aries snorted.
"Sure, tiny CEO."
I threw a pillow at him.
He caught it.
Grinned.
And threw it back.
Within seconds—
Pillows were flying across the private jet.
Serina yelled from the front.
"NOT THE CHAMPAGNE!"
Kaizer sighed.
"This is my life now."
Grazel grabbed a pillow twice her size and tried to throw it.
Failed.
Laughed anyway.
Denzel looked at Grace.
"I love this family."
Grace nodded slowly.
"Me too. Somehow."
Cin tackled Aries.
Rakki recorded everything.
Percy tried to mediate but got hit by three pillows instead.
And Keifer?
Keifer pulled me into his lap, wrapped his arms around me, and watched the chaos with a smile.
I leaned back against him.
"This is insane."
"I know."
"We're flying with lunatics."
"I know."
"Why are we like this?"
He kissed my cheek.
"Because we're family."
I smiled.
"Yeah."
"I guess we are."
And surrounded by flying pillows, screaming brothers, a laughing baby, and the most chaotic people in the world—
I realized something.
This was my life now.
And I wouldn't change it for anything.
---
Hours Later – Approaching Manila
The chaos had finally settled.
Mostly because everyone was exhausted.
Aries and Percy had crashed on the lounge seats.
Cin and Rakki were asleep curled together.
Denzel, Grace, and Grazel had claimed the bedroom.
Serina and Kaizer were dozing at the front.
And Keifer and I—
We were still on the main seats, watching the sunrise through the window.
The Philippines stretched below us.
Green islands.
Blue ocean.
Home.
Keifer's arm was around me.
My head on his shoulder.
"Tired?" he asked quietly.
"A little."
"Excited?"
I thought about it.
About seeing the old places.
About facing whatever was waiting.
About Yuri.
But also about family.
About friends.
About finally coming back after five years.
"Yeah," I whispered.
"I think I am."
He squeezed me gently.
"Whatever happens—"
"I know."
I looked up at him.
"We face it together."
He smiled.
Soft.
Genuine.
"Together."
The plane began its descent.
Manila sparkled below.
And for the first time in five years…
Going home didn't feel scary.
It felt right.
Aries suddenly woke up with a snort.
"ARE WE THERE YET?!"
Percy groaned.
"Shut up."
"ARE WE?!"
"No."
"Oh."
He went back to sleep.
I laughed quietly.
Keifer shook his head.
"This is going to be a long trip."
I grinned.
"The best kind."
Because with this family—
Chaos was guaranteed.
But so was love.
