Chapter 67 - baby wisperer

Chapter: The Baby Whisperer and the Sleeping Wife

(AUTHOR'S POV)

The Watson mansion was full again.

Party mode.

Everyone invited.

Section E.

Girlfriends.

Brothers.

Chaos.

The living room looked like a daycare crossed with a zoo.

People everywhere.

Laughing.

Talking.

Eating.

Being loud.

Being family.

And in the middle of it all—

Keifer.

With Grazel on his hip.

The tiny queen had claimed him.

Refused to let go.

Wouldn't go to Grace.

Wouldn't go to Denzel.

Only Keifer.

Keifer didn't mind.

He bounced her gently.

Talked to her.

Made her laugh.

Jay watched from across the room.

Heart melting.

Her husband.

With a baby.

On his hip.

Looking natural.

Looking perfect.

Looking like—

She stopped that thought.

Too soon.

But maybe—

Soon.

---

The Chaos Continues

Aries ran past.

Chased by Percy.

Something about a stolen snack.

Grazel pointed.

"Giraf! Giraf!"

Keifer nodded.

"Yes, baby."

"That's Aries."

"Giraf."

Percy ran by.

Chasing Aries now.

Grazel pointed again.

"Monke! Monke!"

Keifer grinned.

"Yes, baby."

"That's Percy."

"Blue-eyed monkey."

Percy heard.

Stopped.

"HEY!"

Keifer shrugged.

"Baby said it."

"Not me."

Grazel nodded.

Serious face.

"Monke."

Percy grabbed his chest.

"BETRAYED BY A TODDLER!"

Aries laughed.

Fell on the floor.

Grazel pointed at him.

"Giraf fall!"

Aries froze.

"Did she just—"

Percy gasped.

"SHES ROASTING US!"

"AT TWO YEARS OLD!"

Grazel clapped.

Happy.

Proud.

Keifer kissed her head.

"Good job, baby."

She grinned.

Toothy smile.

"Keif best."

He smiled.

"Keif tries."

---

The Tour

Keifer walked around.

Grazel on his hip.

Showing her everything.

People.

Food.

Chaos.

They passed Cin and Rakki.

Grazel waved.

Cin waved back.

"Hi, tiny terror!"

Grazel pointed.

"Boy! Girl!"

Cin blinked.

"I'm a boy."

Rakki laughed.

"She knows."

They passed Calix and Mica.

Grazel pointed.

"Pretty! Pretty!"

Mica melted.

"OH MY GOD!"

Calix nodded.

"She has excellent taste."

They passed Erdix and Freya.

Grazel stared.

Erdix stared back.

She pointed.

"Quiet boy."

Freya burst out laughing.

Erdix blinked.

"I'm— I'm quiet?"

Freya nodded.

"Baby confirmed."

They passed David, Eren, Emman, Rory.

All sitting together.

All watching.

Grazel looked at them.

Counted on her fingers.

"One. Two. Three. Four."

"Many boys."

David grinned.

"Accurate."

Eren nodded.

"Very accurate."

Emman waved.

Rory blew a kiss.

She ignored it.

Regal.

Like Jay.

They passed Mayo, Kit, Blaster.

Mayo tried to look cool.

Grazel stared.

Pointed.

"Silly boy."

Kit lost it.

Blaster laughed.

Mayo deflated.

"Silly?"

Kit nodded.

"Baby confirmed."

They passed Josh and Drew.

Josh waved wildly.

"HI BABY!"

Drew waved too.

Grazel smiled.

Waved back.

"Funny boys."

Josh beamed.

"FUNNY! I'M FUNNY!"

Drew nodded.

"We're both funny."

They passed Denzel and Grace.

Her parents.

She looked at them.

Then at Keifer.

Clung tighter.

"No."

Grace laughed.

"Betrayed by my own daughter."

Denzel nodded.

"Keifer's the favorite now."

Keifer smiled.

"Obviously."

---

The Horoscope Moment

They found Aries again.

Sitting on the couch.

Recovering from earlier.

Grazel pointed.

"Giraf!"

Aries waved.

"Hi, tiny queen."

Keifer had an idea.

Evil idea.

Perfect idea.

He turned Grazel toward Aries.

"See that, baby?"

She nodded.

"Giraf."

"Yes."

"But also—"

He whispered.

"Horoscope."

Grazel's eyes widened.

New word.

New power.

"Ho-wo-scope?"

Keifer nodded.

"Yes."

"Horoscope."

She pointed at Aries.

"HO-WO-SCOPE!"

Aries froze.

"What did she call me?!"

Keifer shrugged.

Innocent.

"Blame Jay."

"She started it."

Aries glared.

Across the room.

At Jay.

She waved.

Sweet.

Innocent.

Too innocent.

Aries groaned.

Percy appeared.

Curious.

"What's happening?"

Keifer turned Grazel toward Percy.

"And see that, baby?"

She nodded.

"Monke."

"Yes."

"But also—"

He whispered again.

"Blue-eyed monkey."

She pointed.

"BWUE EYE MONKE!"

Percy grabbed his chest.

"BETRAYAL!"

"BY A BABY!"

"WITH KEIFER'S HELP!"

Grazel clapped.

Happy.

Proud.

Learning fast.

Too fast.

Aries pointed at Keifer.

"You're teaching her our nicknames!"

Keifer nodded.

"Education is important."

Percy pointed.

"She's going to call us this FOREVER!"

Keifer smiled.

"That's the plan."

Grazel nodded.

Serious.

"Pwan."

Aries and Percy stared.

Same thought.

Same horror.

Same—

"We're doomed."

Percy nodded.

"Completely doomed."

Grazel waved.

"Bye bye, ho-wo-scope!"

"Bye bye, bwue eye monke!"

She giggled.

Keifer kissed her head.

"Good job, baby."

She grinned.

"Keif best."

---

The Nap Time Mission

Hours passed.

The party continued.

But Grazel—

Grazel was fading.

Eyes droopy.

Yawning.

Rubbing her face.

But fighting it.

Refusing to sleep.

Grace approached.

"Baby, time for nap?"

Grazel shook her head.

Firm.

"No."

Denzel tried.

"Come on, baby."

"Sleepy time."

Grazel clung to Keifer.

Tighter.

"No."

"Keif."

"Stay Keif."

Grace looked at Keifer.

"Good luck."

Denzel patted his shoulder.

"You're on your own."

They walked away.

Traitors.

Keifer looked at Grazel.

She looked at him.

Same stubbornness.

Same determination.

Same chaos.

He sighed.

"Okay, baby."

"No sleep?"

She shook her head.

"No."

"Keif play?"

He smiled.

Soft.

"Okay."

"Keif play."

He bounced her gently.

Walked around.

Hummed softly.

Talked quietly.

Pointed at things.

Made her laugh.

Slowly—

Her eyes drooped.

Her head rested on his shoulder.

Her grip loosened.

Her breathing slowed.

Keifer kept walking.

Kept humming.

Kept bouncing.

Gentle.

Patient.

Perfect.

Minutes passed.

She was asleep.

Completely out.

Tiny.

Peaceful.

Perfect.

He walked to Grace.

Carefully.

Slowly.

Handed her over.

Grace took her.

Amazed.

"How?"

Keifer shrugged.

"Patience."

"Love."

"Bouncing."

Grace shook her head.

"You're a natural."

Denzel nodded.

"Baby whisperer."

Keifer looked at Jay.

Across the room.

Watching him.

Eyes soft.

Warm.

Full of love.

He smiled.

She smiled back.

Everything.

---

Jay's Turn

The party continued.

But Jay—

Jay was tired.

Long day.

Long week.

Long life.

She sat on the couch.

Watching everyone.

Watching him.

He walked to her.

Sat beside her.

"Tired?"

She nodded.

"A little."

He opened his arms.

"Come here."

She didn't hesitate.

Climbed onto his lap.

Curled up.

Head on his chest.

Arms around him.

Legs tucked.

Perfect fit.

Always.

He wrapped his arms around her.

Held her close.

Kissed her head.

"Rest, wifey."

She nodded.

Sleepy.

"Love you."

"Love you too."

"Sleep."

"I'll be here."

She closed her eyes.

The party continued around them.

Laughter.

Talking.

Chaos.

But in his arms—

Silence.

Peace.

Safety.

She slept.

---

The Party Watches

Aries noticed first.

Pointed.

"Guys."

Everyone looked.

At the couch.

At Keifer.

With Jay asleep on his lap.

Holding her like she was the most precious thing in the world.

Whispers started.

"Look at them."

"So cute."

"GOALS."

Percy wiped a fake tear.

"True love."

"Right before our eyes."

Cin nodded.

"He's got both babies now."

Rakki smirked.

"Baby Grazel."

"Baby Jay."

"Same energy."

Mica laughed.

"Jay is basically a baby."

Freya agreed.

"A sleepy baby."

Grace smiled.

"He's a natural."

Denzel nodded.

"With both of them."

Grazel slept in Grace's arms.

Jay slept in Keifer's.

Two babies.

One man.

Handling it perfectly.

---

The Party Ends

People started leaving.

Quietly.

Respecting the sleep.

Cin and Rakki waved goodbye.

Calix and Mica followed.

Erdix and Freya slipped out.

David, Eren, Emman, Rory.

Mayo, Kit, Blaster.

Josh and Drew.

Denzel, Grace, and sleeping Grazel.

Percy and Honey.

Aries and Ella.

One by one.

Until—

Only Keifer and Jay remained.

In the quiet mansion.

On the couch.

Her on his lap.

Asleep.

Perfect.

---

The Carrying

Keifer waited.

Gave her time.

Deep sleep.

Completely out.

Then—

Carefully.

Gently.

One arm under her knees.

One behind her back.

Lifted.

She stirred.

Mumbled.

Settled.

Against his chest.

Head on his shoulder.

Asleep again.

He carried her.

Through the living room.

Up the stairs.

To their room.

---

Their Room

He lay her on the bed.

Carefully.

Gently.

She didn't wake.

Just curled up.

Reached for him.

Even in sleep.

He smiled.

Changed her clothes.

Into his shirt.

Her favorite.

The soft one.

She helped.

Half asleep.

Mumbling.

"Keifer."

"Yeah, baby?"

"Stay."

He lay beside her.

She immediately moved.

Curled against him.

Head on his chest.

Over his heart.

Arms around him.

Legs tangled.

Perfect fit.

Always.

He held her.

One hand in her hair.

One on her back.

She sighed.

Content.

"Love you."

He kissed her head.

"Love you too."

"Sleep, wifey."

"I'm here."

She nodded.

Sleepy.

"Always?"

"Always."

She slept.

He stayed.

Watching her.

Holding her.

Loving her.

---

Morning

Sunlight streamed through the curtains.

Jay woke.

Warm.

Comfortable.

Safe.

On his chest.

In his shirt.

In his arms.

She smiled.

Didn't move.

Didn't want to.

His voice.

Rough with sleep.

"You're awake."

"Mmm."

"How long?"

"Few minutes."

"Just enjoying."

He held her tighter.

"Good."

"Me too."

She looked up.

He was watching her.

Those eyes.

Always those eyes.

"Keifer?"

"Yeah?"

"Yesterday—"

"You took care of everyone."

He shrugged.

Small.

"Grazel was tired."

"You were tired."

"I helped."

She touched his face.

"You're amazing."

He smiled.

"Your amazing."

She kissed his chest.

"My amazing."

"Baby whisperer."

"Husband extraordinaire."

He laughed.

Soft.

Warm.

"Love you, wifey."

"Love you too, hubby."

"Forever?"

"Forever."

They lay there.

Happy.

Together.

Perfect.
