The private jet landed smoothly on a private runway owned by the Shincity Group on Bluewaters Island.
From the oval window, Sarah watched the transition of the landscape: the deep, churning indigo giving way to the jagged, rocky teeth of the west, before settling into the surreal turquoise of the tropical shallows.
The runway was a private facility, a strip of pristine black asphalt carved into the greenery, stamped with the unmistakable logo of the Shincity Group.
The moment the aircraft doors opened, warm tropical air rushed inside immediately, carrying the scent of saltwater, wet sand and fresh greenery.
Sarah paused briefly at the entrance of the jet before stepping down.
The island was beautiful.
The sky stretched endlessly above them in clear shades of blue while tall palm trees danced gently under the afternoon breeze. Somewhere from afar came the distant crashing sound of ocean waves against rocks.
