Then Nanook's hand came to rest atop Xingxiao's head.
Xingxiao's eyes widened.
In the next second, another immense surge of power poured into her body.
The wounds she had sustained in battle against Kiana healed at a visible rate, and her aura began to soar, surpassing her previous peak state in the blink of an eye.
Kiana's pupils shrank sharply.
Right now, she very much wanted to rush forward and interrupt whatever this was—or rather, if both of the figures before her had merely been Emanators, she absolutely would have.
But because she still couldn't sense even the slightest hostility from Nanook, Kiana finally decided to gamble.
She subconsciously tightened her grip on Judgment of Shamash, while Honkai energy inside her began to whirl madly.
If Nanook truly meant to act against her here, she had no other choice but to fight for her life.
Yet just as she was preparing to move, Nanook stopped.
After doing all that, he said nothing. He merely gave Kiana a long, deep look—
and then left.

What was that supposed to mean? Did he really think buffing Xingxiao one more time would be enough to take her down?
Kiana felt faintly insulted.
But she had no intention of protesting or complaining, because this was good news!
It was a fact that she couldn't out-bomb Nanook—but there was no way she couldn't out-bomb Xingxiao, right?
Although Nanook had seemingly strengthened Xingxiao again just now, Kiana—as a fellow Emanator of Destruction—could sense it clearly.
Xingxiao's purity still didn't measure up to hers!
That was right. If they continued their one-on-one fight from earlier, Kiana still believed she would win.
Xingxiao slowly raised her head. For a fleeting moment, Kiana thought she saw a trace of regret in the other woman's eyes.

"I understand the Ravager God's will now."

Then, to Kiana's complete shock, Xingxiao bowed her head and dropped to one knee in the void.
"The Ravager God has revealed to me the truth of Your existence. And yet I misinterpreted His will and dared raise my hand against You. That is a grave act of disrespect."
Kiana blinked.
Then blinked again.
For a brief moment, her brain completely stopped working.
What the hell?
Why had Xingxiao suddenly changed her tune?
At this point, Kiana was genuinely dying to know what Nanook had actually said to her.
"…Um, maybe you should stand up first?" Kiana asked carefully.
From the look of things, Xingxiao didn't seem to be acting.
But having the other woman kneeling there in front of her still made Kiana feel extremely awkward.
Yet Xingxiao shook her head. "Before You forgive me, I have no face with which to rise."
Kiana pressed a hand to her forehead.
Big sis, just a second ago you looked ready to tear me to pieces, and now you're kneeling here refusing to get up? This change is way too fast, isn't it?
"I forgive you. You can get up now."
Only then did Xingxiao slowly stand, though she still kept her head lowered.
"That, um… Na— ahem, the Ravager God… what else did he say?" Kiana asked tentatively.
And Xingxiao promptly gave her answer.
"The Ravager God said that in the future, You will become the new Destruction."
"My lady, to atone for my offense, please allow me to offer You my loyalty."
