Cherreads

Chapter 10 - All cards on the table.

She did get the urge to scream with joy, but Sienna kept it under wraps. There was more serious business to deal with, and she definitely didn't want Elias to find out that she benefited whenever he obeyed a command from her.

Her eyes moved to the children. The next part of the conversation, she did not want them hearing.

"Kroton, take the children outside to play. I need to have a private conversation with their father."

The young man nodded. He gestured to the other servants and they carried the children outside.

Sienna looked at her mother-in-law and sister-in-law. "If its not too much to ask, please step out as well. There are some things Elias and I need to discuss."

Lady Cadelaria was reluctant to department but Cyra pulled her outside. They could always hide behind the door and eavesdrop. Or, Liman would just tell them later. The beast woman was hiding somewhere within the vicinity.

Assuming that they were completely alone, Sienna took a deep breath and said calmly, "I want to move out."

Elias clenched his jaw. He really couldn't understand what was going through her mind. "We discussed this already when we got married, during the duration of our marriage, we have to live under the same roof for the good of the children."

She snorted softly. "And how has that worked out? You hate me, your family hates me, the children hate me, the servants don't respect me. I am unhappy here Elias. I am tired of being rolled in rugs." She lifted two fingers. "It has happened to me twice today. In addition to that, your mother poured water on me!" Her breathing was picking up so she paused and inhaled.

Elias watched her silently.

"I am agreeing to the divorce." She declared. "But, I am requesting for two years maximum before we sign the papers. During these two years, I hope that we can be cordial. I will also try my best to behave appropriately." She had already thought about it when he sat down.

The best way to get him to agree to her commands was to trick him. Barking like the commander of an army and provoking him all the time would not work.

"You are not leaving." He said through clenched teeth. "I will not have the world believing that I threw you out. Marriage is sacred among beast men."

Sienna wondered if what they had even constituted to marriage in any way. "In that case, I propose something else. I live here for a few days or weeks or a month and at my place for the same time period until when I finally leave. If people ask, just tell them I take a lot of vacations."

His lips twitched. Just what in the world was going on with her? Why was she suddenly determined to leave and divorce? At first, he assumed she had been trying to attract his attention but the way she was going about it suggested that she could be serious.

"What is going on with you?" He asked.

She laughed. "Let's just say I woke up to reality. I am tired of lying to myself. Each day that passes, I grow older. While time is passing, I am stuck in the same dark place. It is time to find the light."

He frowned. Was it hard for her to be clear? What was dark and what was light. "Why did you accuse me of ruining your reputation?"

Sienna raised her brows. Did he not know or was he simply pretending? She took a deep breath. It did not matter, if necessary, she would jog his memory. The least she could do was get an apology for the old Sienna.

She held up her phone. On the screen, an old video of her played. It had been taken in the hotel room where they met when she was dancing. "This was the day we met. You can clear see that I was dancing, preparing for an audition. I heard someone come in and run to hide in the closet. I did not know it was you."

Elias watched it, old memories resurfacing in his mind. Memories that had been foggy because he had been in heat.

He saw himself sniff the air, his six tails made an appearance and he made his way to the closet. He pulled her out and Sienna was full of apologies, saying she would leave right away.

It was him that kissed her first. He followed the kiss with pleas for her help to help him through his heat. They bargained, he made promises and then the rutting started, lasting for ten hours!.

Behind the door, two women gasped.

Outside the widows, more gasps.

Sienna put the phone down.

"You were recording!" He exclaimed.

She was baffled by what he was choosing to fixate on. "I was recording myself dancing. How could I have known that you would come in and shoot a porno?"

"A what?" He frowned.

She shook her mind. "Never mind. It is clear from the video that I did not set out to seduce you. In fact, you are the one that seduced me with your face, tails, and promises."

Giggles came from behind the door. Sounds that they both ignored.

"I don't see you using any pregnancy prevention measures." Sienna pointed out. "And as I was not expecting sex, given that I was a virgin, I did not have any either. The pregnancy was unexpected. We both know that terminating a pregnancy for a beast man requires a signature of the two people involved and permission from the beast court. I came to you because I had to. But how did you treat me?"

He clenched his hands.

Sienna laughed. "You asked me to marry you for the sake of the children. I wanted to terminate and focus on my career. You promised me that I would never lack anything if I kept the pregnancy, your family would accept me. I would be respected.

In the end, someone planted the idea in your mind that I hid in the closet to seduce you and get pregnant in order to fast track my progress to the top.

I became this terrible woman in the eyes in the public and you never bothered to correct the false narrative. You gave me cold and silent treatment.

Nobody in the entertainment industry wanted to come near me. I became a laughingstock. I became depressed and gained weight. Because of depression, I failed to be a good mother.

In the end, I have suffered more from meeting you than I have gained. Between the two of us who owes the other more? Who is the bad guy?"
