At the entrance of the house, Elias paused, turning to Shalin and Kroton. "Go and get your punishment. I told you to keep your lady out of trouble, not encourage her to kick up a storm."
Shalin bowed. "Yes my lord."
Sienna quickly stepped in front of the servant. "Elias what do you mean by punishment? What did they do wrong except protect me verbally and keep me company?" She imagined them being whipped or slapped like it was done in costume dramas. The thought made her gasp, and she looked at her husband in horror, as if he was a beast. "You want to whip them! I won't let you do it."
Elias's sharp eyes flicked to Shalin. The servant grabbed her son's hand and hightailed it away quickly, despite protests from Sienna.
"What are you going to do them?" Sienna met Elias's gaze, her stubbornest flickering against his icy calm. "If you are angry, take your anger out on me. Don't involve innocent people in this."
