Never before, had Sienna enjoyed a flight on an airship so much. Her joy had everything to do with Cadelaria's misery. While Sienna stuffed her mouth with snacks, her mother-in-law kept her head lowered, and arms folded. She was finished crying, but she didn't dare let out a squeak.
Cyra had accepted what was to happen, and now, she was scrolling through her phone, occasionally shooting hateful glares at Sienna and rolling her eyes at her mother.
Elias decided to sit outside. It would save him from having to be caught between them.
Jess remained steady by Sienna's side, smiling fondly at the granddaughter-in-law that her grandson had described as a hurricane on wheels. "You are enjoying tormenting your mother-in-law," She said.
Sienna smiled innocently. "I was pleading for her, wasn't I? Every word was in her defense. I take no pleasure in watching her cry."
