Chapter 24 - Full Story.

Abu Bakr stood silently, absorbing Naaman's words, feeling the weight of his father's secretive actions. He had thought that his father's intentions were clear—that he would follow the throne, ruling over the kingdom as expected. But now, the letter revealed a different path, one that led to the mysterious "other earth," a place his father had long been searching for. The book, the language, the ships—all pointed to an adventure beyond anything he had imagined.

"Naaman," Abu Bakr said, his voice steady but filled with the weight of the decision before him, "my father left me with a choice. But what do you think? Is this journey worth the risk? Can it truly lead to the answers he sought?"

Naaman, his expression still thoughtful, met the king's gaze. "The choice is yours, my king. Your father believed in this other land, in the knowledge it held. Perhaps he thought you would be the one to discover it, to unlock its secrets. But the risk is great. You must decide if you are ready to leave everything behind, to follow a path that may lead to unknown lands—or remain here and fulfill the life that has always been expected of you."

Abu Bakr looked down at the letter in his hands, the weight of his father's words echoing in his mind. The king's throne, the responsibility to the people, the life he had always known—it all seemed insignificant compared to the promise of a land filled with knowledge, a chance to uncover secrets lost to time. But could he abandon his duty? Was it selfish to pursue something so uncertain when the kingdom needed its ruler?

"I need time to think," Abu Bakr said, his voice resolute. "This choice—this journey—it is more than just a personal adventure. It is a turning point for everything I've known. I must decide if I am willing to walk away from this life for something that may or may not exist."

Naaman nodded in understanding. "Take your time, my king. But know this: whatever you choose, the journey you are about to embark on will change everything—whether you find the other land or not."

Abu Bakr stared out over the orchard, the apples still untouched on the tree. The land before him, the kingdom he had inherited—it was all at a crossroads. The path ahead was uncertain, but one thing was clear: whatever decision he made, it would lead him to a future far different from the one he had ever imagined.
