The sky above Emerald Valley slowly turned gray as dark clouds gathered in the distance. The peaceful morning that had followed Arin's training was now fading into something heavy and dangerous. The wind began to blow harder, moving through the trees like a warning from nature itself.
Arin stood at the edge of the Guardian Training Ground, looking toward the mountains where dark smoke was rising. The Master Emerald floated quietly behind him, glowing softly, but its light was not as calm as before. It flickered slightly, as if sensing danger approaching.
Mira walked toward him and crossed her arms.
"You feel it too, right?" she asked.
Arin nodded.
"Yes. Something powerful is coming."
The traveler slowly stepped forward, his staff touching the ground gently.
"This is no ordinary shadow movement," he said. "This energy… it belongs to a Shadow General."
Mira's eyes widened.
"A Shadow General?"
The traveler nodded.
"Yes. Dark Followers like Zorath are strong, but Shadow Generals are commanders of the Shadow Lord's army. They lead destruction and conquer lands."
Arin clenched his fists.
"So this is the next enemy."
Suddenly, a loud explosion echoed from the mountains.
BOOOOM!
The ground shook violently.
Birds flew away in fear.
The green glow of Emerald Valley trembled slightly.
Mira stepped back.
"They are attacking already!"
The traveler raised his staff and looked toward the sky.
A massive dark portal slowly opened above the valley.
Black lightning struck the ground.
Dark energy spread across the air like smoke.
From the portal, a large armored figure slowly descended.
He was tall and massive, wearing heavy black armor covered with red glowing lines. A long dark cape flowed behind him, and in his hand was a giant black sword that looked powerful enough to cut mountains.
When he landed on the ground, the earth cracked under his feet.
BOOOOM!
The valley shook again.
Arin stepped forward bravely.
"Who are you?"
The armored figure lifted his head slowly.
"My name is General Kharos," he said in a deep and cold voice. "Commander of the Shadow Army and servant of the Shadow Lord."
Mira whispered, "His energy is even stronger than Zorath…"
Kharos looked at the Master Emerald.
"So… this is the legendary Master Emerald."
His red eyes glowed.
"Hand it over, Guardian, and I may let you live."
Arin stepped forward.
"I will never give it to you."
Kharos laughed deeply.
"Then Emerald Valley will fall today."
He raised his giant sword and slammed it into the ground.
Dark soldiers began appearing from the portal behind him.
Hundreds of them.
They filled the valley like a dark army.
Mira stepped back in shock.
"There are too many!"
The traveler raised his staff.
"We must protect the valley at all costs."
Arin took a deep breath.
"Then we fight."
Kharos pointed his sword forward.
"Destroy them!"
The shadow army rushed forward.
Arin jumped into the air.
"Emerald Burst!"
A wave of green energy exploded from his body, destroying several soldiers instantly.
Mira attacked from the side, sending energy blasts at the army.
The traveler used light magic to hold back groups of enemies.
But more soldiers kept coming.
Kharos watched calmly.
"Pathetic resistance."
He slowly walked forward.
Arin rushed toward him.
"Your fight is with me!"
Kharos swung his sword.
CLANG!
Arin blocked with emerald energy, but the force pushed him backward.
The ground cracked under his feet.
Kharos smiled.
"You are strong… but not strong enough."
He attacked again.
SLASH!
Arin jumped away just in time, but the ground split open where the sword struck.
Mira shouted, "Arin, be careful!"
Kharos moved faster this time and punched Arin in the chest.
BOOM!
Arin was thrown across the ground and crashed into a stone pillar.
The Master Emerald glowed brighter.
Mira ran toward him.
"Arin!"
Arin stood up slowly.
"I'm okay…"
Kharos raised his sword again.
"This ends now."
He gathered massive dark energy.
Black lightning surrounded his blade.
"Shadow Destruction Slash!"
A huge wave of dark energy rushed toward Arin.
The traveler shouted, "Arin, use the Emerald's power!"
Arin closed his eyes and focused.
The Master Emerald responded immediately.
Green light surrounded his body.
He raised both hands.
"Emerald Guardian Shield!"
A massive green barrier formed in front of him.
BOOOOOOM!
The dark attack crashed into the shield.
The ground shook violently.
The valley trembled.
After a few seconds, the attack stopped.
Kharos stepped back slightly.
"Impressive."
Arin opened his glowing green eyes.
"I will protect this valley."
The Master Emerald floated higher and shined brightly.
Green energy spread across the land, pushing back the shadow soldiers.
Mira smiled.
"He's getting stronger!"
Kharos looked serious now.
"So the Guardian is evolving…"
He lifted his sword and pointed it at Arin.
"Good. I will return with greater power."
He stepped back into the dark portal.
"But next time… Emerald Valley will fall."
The shadow army began retreating into the portal.
One by one, they disappeared.
The portal slowly closed.
The sky returned to normal.
Silence filled the valley again.
Arin dropped to one knee, breathing heavily.
Mira helped him stand.
"You did it."
The traveler looked toward the mountains.
"No… this was only a warning."
Arin looked at the Master Emerald.
"Then we must prepare for the real war."
The Emerald glowed softly.
Far away in the dark mountains, General Kharos stood before a massive shadow throne.
A dark voice spoke from the shadows.
"So… the Guardian grows stronger."
Kharos bowed.
"Yes, my lord."
The Shadow Lord's red eyes glowed in the darkness.
"Good. Prepare the full army."
The war for the Master Emerald had truly begun.
