My voice sounded small in the massive room, but it didn't shake.


Damian took a slow sip of his drink. The ice clinked against the crystal—A very dramatic guy, don't you think?


"You have a very loud mouth for someone who is currently a ghost in this world," he said. He finally turned, his gray eyes catching the faint blue light from the window.


He looked like he'd been carved out of some high magazine. "No records. No fingerprints in the national database. Even the facial recognition on my car came back with a 'null' result."
