Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Hiruzen Sarutobi's Hypothesis

Arriving at Shisui's class, Mitsusuke found Shisui lecturing his students on unexpected situations that Ninjas might encounter during missions.

Not wanting to disturb the lesson, Mitsusuke leaned against the corridor wall and lit a cigarette.

After about two cigarettes' worth of time, Shisui walked out of the classroom, followed by quite a few students.

As soon as Shisui left the classroom, he walked toward Mitsusuke: "Suke, you rarely come to see me. Is something the matter today?"

"Nothing much, I just came by to see you and your students. These little guys are really energetic! Seeing them reminds me of myself a few years ago."

"Indeed! The children's enthusiasm for learning is high; they are the future of Konoha."

A few students who had just walked out of the classroom saw their teacher chatting with Mitsusuke and whispered: "Isn't that the disgrace of the sarutobi clan? Why does the teacher seem so familiar with him? Shisui-sensei better not be led astray by him."

"Yeah! Shisui-sensei is so good, he shouldn't be corrupted by that guy."

Shisui, who was talking to Mitsusuke, felt a bit embarrassed upon hearing the students' conversation and quickly explained: "Suke, don't mind them. These children only say such things because they don't know you. I know your strength is very great."

Mitsusuke waved his hand dismissively: "They're just a bunch of brats! Why would I get angry with them? You underestimate me too much."

"I came to talk to you about something, just so you don't make a foolish mistake."

Before Shisui could ask what it was, Mitsusuke beat him to it by taking out the scroll that Itachi had delivered today.

Seeing the scroll, Shisui was somewhat confused. Mitsusuke had already agreed to accept it this morning, so why take it out again? It wasn't as if Itachi would give him a fake Ninjutsu scroll.

While Shisui was lost in thought, he heard Mitsusuke say: "Shisui, these are all low-level Ninjutsu, very suitable for children."

Shisui nodded, agreeing with Mitsusuke's assessment; Itachi had mentioned this before.

Since they were suitable, why was Mitsusuke taking them out? This made Shisui even more puzzled.

Mitsusuke placed the scroll in Shisui's hand and whispered a reminder: "Shisui, now that there's a glimmer of reconciliation between the Village and the Uchiha, you must be careful in everything you do."

"This Ninjutsu scroll is indeed very suitable for the children, but you cannot reward the students in the name of the Uchiha. It must go through the Hokage, otherwise, it's overstepping your bounds."

"After school, take the scroll to the Hokage, explain the whole situation, and tell him these are all Fire Release techniques and not suitable for everyone. Ask to exchange them with the Village for some Ninjutsu of other elements, to be rewarded to the students in the name of the Village."

"Pay special attention to not letting Ninjutsu become too common, or the children will lose their drive. Each Ninjutsu should only be rewarded to the top students; this motivates them more than giving it to everyone for free."

Hearing Mitsusuke's explanation, Shisui broke into a cold sweat. Mitsusuke was absolutely right; the Uchiha had indeed overstepped this time.

The Village and the Uchiha had just reached a verbal reconciliation. If he made the Hokage unhappy now, that opportunity would be wasted for nothing.

"Teacher, can you teach me Taijutsu?" A voice suddenly appeared to the right of Shisui and Mitsusuke, interrupting their conversation and the tense atmosphere.

Seeing his student, Shisui introduced him to Mitsusuke: "Suke, this is Rock Lee, my student. He's a very hardworking child, but his Chakra capacity is too low. I've been considering having him follow the path of a Taijutsu Ninja, but I'm not sure how to guide him. As you know, my Taijutsu is all developed based on the Body Flicker Technique, which isn't suitable for Lee."

Looking at the current Rock Lee, who wasn't yet wearing the green jumpsuit, Mitsusuke felt something was missing.

At the same time, he remembered that this guy Shisui held the title of 'Shisui of the Body Flicker'.

Mitsusuke patted Lee's head and then crouched down: "Lee, is it? Are you afraid of hardship? If you aren't, I might be able to give you a very good training suggestion. How about it? Want to give it a try?"

Lee looked at Mitsusuke with his somewhat adorable big eyes, then looked at his teacher.

Shisui stepped forward, placed both hands on Lee's shoulders, and said in a very gentle tone: "Lee, Suke won't harm you. If he says there's a training method suitable for you, then there definitely is. As for whether to agree, I respect your decision."

Encouraged by his teacher, Lee bowed deeply to Mitsusuke: "Please tell me the training method, Mitsusuke-sensei! I will train hard!"

The current Lee was still quite insecure, but fortunately, his will was firm; otherwise, he wouldn't have been scouted by Guy later.

Mitsusuke stood up and reached out to help Lee up: "No need for formalities with me. Although my method suits you, it doesn't have much to do with me; it still depends on your own hard work."

Then, Mitsusuke told Lee to go running outside the Village when he had free time. If he encountered a man in a green jumpsuit, he should follow behind him to train and learn his methods.

Hearing Mitsusuke's training method, Lee didn't feel anything was wrong, but Shisui's expression turned a bit odd, and he even looked like he wanted to laugh.

A green jumpsuit, running outside the Village... one didn't even need to think to know who that was. In Konoha, there was only one person like that: Might Guy.

After Lee left, Mitsusuke pulled Shisui toward the Hokage Rock.

On the way, Shisui was curious why Mitsusuke was taking him to the Hokage Rock, but since Mitsusuke didn't say, Shisui didn't ask; that was just his personality.

As soon as they arrived at the Hokage Rock, Mitsusuke immediately wanted to go back to the school, because Hiruzen Sarutobi was standing there striking a pose.

Seeing the Hokage, Shisui greeted him very politely: "Hokage-sama."

Hiruzen Sarutobi originally had his back to Mitsusuke and Shisui, but turned around upon hearing Shisui's greeting.

If Mitsusuke were alone, he would have turned and left. Now he couldn't, so he greeted him reluctantly: "Ol... Hokage-sama."

Hiruzen Sarutobi nodded, his gaze finally landing on Mitsusuke. He had just intended to send someone to fetch Mitsusuke, but upon checking with his crystal ball, he saw him walking toward the Hokage Rock with Shisui, so he waited for them here in advance.

"Suke, I just checked our Sarutobi Clan records, and there's absolutely no record of your Bloodline Limit. Can you tell me how you awakened it? Perhaps our Sarutobi Clan was also a Bloodline Limit family in ancient times, but it was just too difficult to awaken, leading to the lineage being broken."
