The heavy sandstone doors of the Monolith ground open with a sound like shifting tectonic plates. Jin stepped out into the blinding Sahara sun, but he didn't squint. In his right hand, the 'Glitch Dagger' hissed with chaotic red sparks; in his left, the 'Atlas Kummiya' glowed with a serene, holy white light.
The battlefield was a scene of digital carnage. The Moroccan Guardians were holding their ground, their mana-steeds galloping through clouds of pixelated dust. But the Global Association had escalated. A massive 'Orbital Eraser'—a satellite laser—was charging in the upper atmosphere, turning the sky into a bleeding purple wound.
"Target identified. Admin-Threat level: Critical," a mechanical voice boomed from a giant, floating command-ship.
The Regional Director of the Association, a man named Marcus Thorne, stood on the deck of the ship. He was dressed in a suit of gold-plated mana-armor, looking down at the desert with pure arrogance. "Delete this entire sector," he commanded. "If we can't have the Source, no one will."
A beam of pure anti-matter began to descend from the sky, aimed directly at Merzouga.
"Not on my watch," Jin growled.
He looked at Mi-na, who was standing at the entrance of the Monolith, her hands connected to the ancient stone. "Mi-na! Deploy the Maghreb Patch!"
Mi-na's eyes turned a blinding electric blue. "Rewriting Sky-Code... Status: CLOAKED!"
Suddenly, a massive hexagonal shield made of golden sand and white data erupted from the desert floor. When the orbital beam hit the shield, it didn't explode—it was refracted. The white mana of the Atlas Blade flowed through the shield, turning the destructive energy into harmless golden rain that fell over the dunes.
The Association's sensors went dark. To their systems, the entire Sahara had simply... vanished.
"What?! Where did they go?" Thorne screamed from his command-ship.
"Right behind you," a voice whispered.
Jin used Phase Shift, appearing instantly on the deck of the command-ship. Thorne spun around, drawing a massive broadsword, but Jin was faster. He crossed his two blades—red and white—creating a 'Binary Cross'.
"You think this land is your playground?" Jin's voice was cold, echoing with the power of the Monolith. "This is the Source. And you are just a virus that needs to be purged."
With a roar, Jin lunged forward. The red blade shattered Thorne's golden armor, while the white blade pierced through his digital heart, not to kill him, but to 'Disconnect' him from the System forever.
