Chapter 29 - The Impact Logic

The Aegis-7 didn't just fall; it screamed. The massive engines, forced into a 'Moroccan Gravity' loop by Jin's hack, were fighting against the very air. The sky above Chefchaouen was a chaotic mix of violet electricity and orange tectonic light.

Jin stood his ground, his boots anchored into the sanctum's ledge. Through the Atlas Heart, he could feel the weight of the 500,000-ton cruiser descending. It was like trying to catch a falling moon.

"Jin, the kinetic energy alone will vaporize the mountain!" Mi-na yelled, her holographic form flickering red. "You need to redirect the impact vector, or there won't be a base left to defend!"

"I'm not redirecting it," Jin said, his teeth clenched as the pressure of the falling ship began to crack the stones around him. "I'm going to absorb it."

[Skill Activated: Glitch Buffer – Level MAX][Action: Creating Spatial Compression Zone]

As the nose of the Aegis-7 breached the final hundred meters, Jin thrust the Atlas Heart upward. A massive, pixelated dome of red and orange code erupted from the glaive. When the ship hit the dome, there was no sound of metal crushing. Instead, there was a deafening silence.

The ship's velocity didn't stop—it slowed down into a 'lag.' The Aegis-7 was suspended in mid-air, flickering in and out of existence as the Glitch Buffer struggled to process the sheer amount of physical data.

"What... what are you doing?" Auditor Vane hissed, his liquid-metal armor rippling in agitation. He was struggling to stay upright as the ground beneath them warped.

"I'm putting your ship in a sandbox," Jin gasped, blood leaking from his nose. the strain was immense. "It's a temporary file now. And I'm about to delete the parts I don't like."

Jin twisted the glaive. [Sub-Skill: Resource Extraction]. The violet plating of the ship began to dissolve, not into fire, but into raw cubes of purple data. The cubes flowed toward Jin, circling him like a digital hurricane.

Vane realized the danger. If Jin absorbed the ship's anti-glitch plating, he would become untouchable. "Enough!"

Vane's body shifted. The grey suit liquefied, expanding into a four-armed metallic monstrosity. Each hand held a blade of condensed violet energy. He moved with a speed that bypassed the standard physics engine, appearing in front of Jin in a millisecond.

"You are a mistake that has lived too long!" Vane roared, his four blades descending in a lethal cross-pattern.

Jin didn't move. He couldn't move without breaking the buffer holding the ship. But he didn't need to.

[Skill: Drone Hijack – Atlas Override]

The hundreds of Auditor drones that had been impaled or disabled on the mountainside suddenly twitched. Their violet eyes turned orange. They flew upward, forming a living wall of metal between Jin and Vane.

Vane's blades sliced through ten drones, but twenty more took their place.

"The mountain remembers every invader, Vane," Jin said, his voice echoing with a double-tone—his own and the Atlas Kernel's. "And now, your own toys are going to play by my rules."

With a final roar of effort, Jin slammed the glaive down. The Aegis-7 finally 'landed.' Not with an explosion, but by merging with the mountainside. The ship became a part of the Rif, its corridors now leading into the ancient halls of the sanctum.

The shockwave sent Vane flying back into the ravine. Jin fell to his knees, the Atlas Heart glowing dim. He had done it. He hadn't just defeated the invasion; he had stolen their fortress.

[NOTIFICATION: Base Upgraded – The Sky-Rif Fortress][Status: 120 Units Hijacked | Perimeter Secured]

But as the dust settled, Jin saw a single holographic screen hovering in the wreckage. It was a video call. The face on the screen was shadowed, but the emblem behind him was one Jin recognized from his father's old journals.

"You've gained a castle, little Glitch," the shadowed figure said. "But you've also shown us where the Source is. The Architects are no longer sending Auditors. We are sending the 'Cleaners'."

The "Cleaners" are mentioned—a legendary tier of entities that have never failed to delete a region. Jin looks at his new fortress and realizes the real war is only just beginning.
