The nurse reached for So Jeo with ease. "I will just remove the IV and you can rest at home."
But So Jeo didn't move.
His eyes stayed on her for a second, then slowly shifted towards Seo Jin.
Seo Jin, who felt the gaze, quickly focused his attention on the tiles beneath him.
"Boyfriend?" So Jeo repeated, his voice flat.
Seo Jin knew he was the one So Jeo was talking to.
Then there was a pause.
A dangerous kind that made even the nurse's hand hesitate mid-air.
Seo Jin couldn't handle the gaze any longer. "It's not me," he blurted.
The nurse, who heard that, blinked in confusion. "Huh?"
"I mean…" Seo Jin clicked his tongue, irritated at how this was turning out. He wasn't expecting to be a big deal or anything. "We are not whatever you are thinking."
But what he didn't expect was that So Jeo's gaze didn't soften. If anything, it sharpened. "I didn't ask you," he said.
"You are explaining too much," he muttered, but the two people in the room still caught it.
