On the other side, Isamu led everyone to the northern border to rest for the night. Early the next morning, he brought them out to deploy defenses.
They stopped at a location about five kilometers away from the camp.
"Lord Isamu, how should we build the defensive fortifications?"
"How about we set up Explosive Tag traps? When they come, we can blow them all into the sky. What do you think?"
"Are you stupid? Explosive Tags? They'll definitely send a vanguard to scout ahead. By then, all the tags will be discovered. Who are you planning to blow up?"

Isamu looked around at the surrounding trees and mountains. The terrain was advantageous—but not just for them.
After a moment of thought, he said, "We'll set up simple barriers to obstruct them. The enemy has overwhelming numbers. Without absolute strength, no strategy will matter."
"Just barriers? Isamu, isn't that too reckless? We should still set traps to wear them down."
Isamu shook his head. "Zhan, don't be naive. With our numbers, trying to wear them down? We'd be the ones exhausted first. This time, we fight fast—a blitz. Strike hard and end it quickly. If we get dragged into a prolonged battle, we lose."
"But can we really fight tens of thousands of Ninja? That's tens of thousands!" Zhan shuddered.
"Relax. They're strong—but so are we. When the time comes, I'll bring you some helpers. Each one can face ten thousand alone." Isamu patted his shoulder.
"Helpers? What kind of monsters are those?" Zhan asked in disbelief.
"Heh… you'll see."
With that, Isamu turned and began forming hand seals.
"Wood Release: Thorny Sea of Trees!"
A massive surge of roots erupted from the ground, covered in sharp thorns. They twisted together, forming a dense forest barrier.
"Done. If they want to cross, they'll either have to fly—or cut their way through."
The group stared in shock.
"To create something like this instantly…"
"As expected of the Clan Head…"
"Wait… wasn't that Wood Release?!"
Isamu ignored their reactions and led them to expand the thorn forest across the entire five-kilometer perimeter.

After finishing, they returned to camp for a meeting.
"Don't worry too much about the battlefield," Isamu said. "I have a way to deal with them. Just focus on resting."
"Clan Head, we're not afraid of death—but we need to know how we're supposed to fight an army like that."
"That's right!"
Seeing their concern, Isamu nodded. "Alright. Come with me."

He bit his finger and formed hand seals.
"Summoning Technique! Come forth—Tailed Beasts!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
White smoke exploded outward as massive figures appeared one after another, shaking the earth.
"ROAR!!!"
The Tailed Beasts roared together, their overwhelming Chakra forming violent winds that swept across the area.
The Uchiha members instinctively stepped back in fear.

Inside Konoha, the Nine-Tails suddenly rose in shock.
"What is this…? That level of Chakra… when did I leave power like that outside?"
Even other Tailed Beasts across different nations sensed the disturbance.

These were supposed to be monsters—natural disasters.

Controlled.
Standing obediently.

"Don't worry. They won't attack you."
He glanced at the Nine-Tails.
Understanding instantly, it lowered its head.
Isamu placed his hand on its fur casually.
"See? They're well-behaved."
The entire group went silent.
(These… are Tailed Beasts? Or pets?!)
"T-T-Isamu… they really won't attack us?" Zhan asked, forcing himself to step forward.
He was already doing well just by not running away.
