Twilight Sparkle floating in mid-air, unleashing her might; the proctor suspended in the air; the wildly growing dragon; and two suspicious bonsai trees in the corner.
"Celestia above... Twilight, did you do all of this?"
Under normal circumstances, Sunset Shimmer might have complimented her, but the situation now was anything but relaxed.
The entire school building had been ravaged by the terrifying magic Twilight Sparkle was wielding; it was hard to imagine this was caused by a preschool Foal.
'Flying Light was right, she really is powerful.'
However, Twilight Sparkle didn't have the energy to think too much. She tried her best to retract the magic that had lost control, but she couldn't. In fact, she didn't even know she could release this much magic; when she first started learning magic, she had trouble even turning a page of a book.
It was as if that explosion had suddenly unlocked Twilight Sparkle's potential.
"Argh... help me! I, I can't... stop!!"
To control the magic, Twilight Sparkle was struggling with all her might, but it had no effect; instead, it only made things worse.
She felt she was in a mysterious state, with massive amounts of magic surging, and she was powerless against it.
Sunset Shimmer wanted to pick a spell to solve Twilight Sparkle's current trouble, but after thinking for a long time, she realized the magic she knew was all of the powerful variety, not very suitable for the immediate crisis.
"Stay calm, Twilight! We'll find a way!"
Sunset Shimmer raised a protective spell to block the incoming magical lasers, retreating slightly to avoid getting hit again.
"Her magic is out of control. Do you have any good ideas that won't hurt her? Flying Light?"
Sunset Shimmer looked around for Aurora to discuss a solution, but saw Aurora in the corner, pondering something while facing two plants.
"What are you doing?! Don't you see your good friend is in desperate need of your help?!"
"Coming, coming. I was just checking on Uncle and Auntie."
"Huh?"
Because Night Light and Twilight Twinkle had already been "victimized" by the time they arrived at the scene, Sunset Shimmer didn't know there were two other victims present.
"Those two are Twilight's parents. They were turned into plants by transformation magic. Converting life forms between animals and plants—this is high-level magic."
Aurora had originally wanted to help them reverse this transformation, but realized Twilight Sparkle was unconsciously keeping them in this state, so she had to give up.
Now, only by calming Twilight Sparkle down could all the farce happening in the classroom be stopped.
"You've read more books than I have. Do you know any spells that can solve a magical overload?"
Sunset Shimmer maintained the protective shield, ensuring their safety amidst the chaotic magical turbulence.
According to the script, The Grand Princess would soon smell the magic and come to take on her little apprentice.
This was one of the few opportunities for The Grand Princess to save the day in the original story.
But since they had arrived first, they had to do something before The Grand Princess came to clean up the mess.
"Uh... I need to get closer to take a look."
"Then you'd better be quick. I don't know if she'll hurt herself if this continues."
Sunset Shimmer followed Aurora, slowly moving towards Twilight Sparkle, ensuring her protective magic also covered Aurora.
A magical overload isn't necessarily a big deal, nor is it necessarily a small one; it mainly depends on the subject.
Under normal circumstances, a pony's total magic capacity won't exceed what she can control, so uncontrollable situations won't occur.
For those with weak magic, an overload will quickly exhaust their magic, and generally won't cause much harm.
