Jessica started getting dressed humming a lovely tune while Jason sat on the floor with his back against the wall. Sweat was pouring off of him like a rainfall while he was gasping for air. Jessica finished getting dressed then made her way over to Jason. She grabbed his clothes along the way and helped clothed him.
Jason's muscles were placed in a grinder. It wasn't bad enough that he pushed himself against the gargoyle, but then he had to satisfy the desires of two blessed who were more powerful than him. 'Can't they just take it easy on this poor bastard?' Jason complained to himself as Jessica put on his pants.
Once she was doing helping him dress, Jessica then helped him on his feet. Jason could barely walk. He was limping toward the door when Jessica started to support him. Together, they walked out of the building and headed toward Jason's room.
Along the way to the dorms, people stared at the two of them. Jessica had a satisfied grin on her face giving her a glowing like radiance. Jason on the other hand had sunken eyes and a gloomy expression so dark that people thought he was a walking corpse.
"Lucky bastard."
"Wish it were me."
"If it were me, she would be the one limping."
"How can he be a blessed if he can't satisfy one girl?"
Jessica ignored the comments, not willing to ruin the stellar mood she was in. Jason on the other hand, was too exhausted from the previous physical exchange to care. They continued to walk/limp to his dorm. When they finally arrived, Jessica let go of Jason and he walked straight to his bed and laid face down on the pillow.
Sophia was reading her book on the table when Jason walked in. "I hope your ready for your lesson in two hours," she said without taking her eyes off of the book. Jason groaned in complaint. "If your gonna complain, I'm gonna make you train until the last minute of your lecture." Sophia said with a grin.
"No complaints from me. I just don't want to deal with a certain fish but it looks like it's gonna happen anyway. The sooner I deal with it the better."
"Well at least your head is on straight unlike the rest of you."
"Hey what do you mean?"
"Just saying that if you manage to eliminate your obstacles, the chicken I want to deep fry might turn into an emu."
"All right that's it!" Jason moved to punch her but she vanished and reappeared behind him. She grabbed him by the back of the neck with one hand. "Anything else you wanna say, Chica."
"No. Nothing at all."
"Good. Get yourself cleaned up. Yoh smell and I don't like the room smelling like animals."
Jason did as ordered and took a shower. There is something about the way the hot water feels when it falls on his head that makes him feel at home. It's very comforting to him so he spent longer in there than he should. It was during the shower that Jason noticed something about himself.
'There are changes happening to my body' he thought to himself. 'I feel very comfortable in hot environments but I feel constantly dehydrated. What exactly is happening to me. Perhaps it is because of my bond with the Phoenix? Hmm. I might need to ask Invidia about this.' Jason continued thinking on the matter and wondered what other changes happened to his body.
After telling Jason to take his shower, Sophia went outside to look for someone despite it being very early in the morning. She had her usual baggy clothes and a baseball cap. In her hand was a bag filled with items that would be used today. Sophia headed directly toward a certain building to see an old acquaintance. Normally, very few would be out this early in the morning but because the first years are new to the academy, they wanted to explore the academy in full to discover the opportunities that the academy had to offer. There were many first years sitting on benches or exploring the academy grounds. Sophia, however, new exactly where the individual she wanted to meet was. He never leaves the building he works in after all.
Sophia entered the building in question and walked down the stairs to the forge. Normally, students would need permission to access the forge but Sophia was exempt from this rule. She opened the door to the forge and met the man she wanted to see.
He was hammering away at the main forge. Sophia walked over to him and placed the bag of items on the nearby table.
"What is it that you want girl," he said coldly.
"I want to commission a pair of short swords from you using the materials here," she said.
He puts the hammer down on the anvil and looks the bag nearby. He walks over to it and opens the bag. His eyes widened in shock as he begins to stare at Sophia. "Are you insane?" He said.
She shrugs in response. "I'm betting everything on him. This little bit is the least I can do."
"This little bit she says," he said sarcastically. "These materials could be enough to rebuild the legacy of your family. Why give it to a boy?"
"Because with him, I'll be able to take my vengeance against those bastards." She said with cold eyes.
"Hmm." He puts his hand to his chin and strokes his beard. "How soon does he need them?"
"As soon as possible. He's planning on fighting someone soon. Someone stronger than him and I wish to give him a fighting chance."
"Very well. They will be ready by the end of classes today. But I need to know what creature he has bonded with."
"A Phoenix." After giving her response, she walked away to let the forge master work.
His eyes widened again upon hearing that Jason was bonded with a phoenix. "That boy is full of surprises," he said to himself. "Well it's time to get started on a new piece of art. I should enjoy this one. It's not often I get to work with such quality ingredients."
