Chapter 28 - 28: The Trap of Shinjuku

After leaving Tokyo Den High, Sol Mirek headed straight to Shinshinkai Hall. Pushing the doors open, he immediately sensed the heavy atmosphere inside.

Retsu Kaioh, Katsumi Orochi, and Doppo Orochi stood on the stage, faces grim. Hundreds of Shinshinkai disciples lined the hall, their expressions dark with anger and resentment.

"Sol Mirek!" Katsumi's eyes lit with a glimmer of hope as he looked at him. "That Dorian…"

"I'm aware of the situation," Sol said calmly, scanning the room.

"Have you tracked him yet?" Katsumi asked.

"Not yet," Sol replied. "But we'll find him soon."

Katsumi shook his head. "We've distributed flyers with his photo across all branches. His whereabouts won't stay hidden for long."

Doppo stepped forward, voice deep and unwavering. "Dorian's attack on Kato was a blatant provocation against Shinshinkai. He must pay for it."

Katsumi clenched his fists. "Every one of the million Shinshinkai members will avenge Kato!"

---

Night fell over Tokyo, neon lights painting the cityscape in vibrant hues.

Inside a high-end restaurant, Dorian sat dressed sharply in a brown suit and square-framed sunglasses. He finished his steak, savoring every bite.

A waiter approached, hands clasped politely in front of him. "How was everything, sir?"

"Excellent," Dorian replied, nodding with measured satisfaction.

"It is our honor, Mr. Dorian," the waiter said.

Dorian's pupils flickered beneath his glasses. For a moment, he tensed, then relaxed. No one here posed a real threat.

"May I ask how you know my name?" Dorian's tone was calm, tinged with curiosity.

"Kato Kiyosumi is my junior. I heard about how you handled him, and I thank you for your… thoroughness."

"You understand the consequences?" the waiter asked, maintaining his polite smile. "By targeting Kato, you've made an enemy of a million Shinshinkai members. They are watching your every move."

Dorian said nothing, finishing his drink before rising and leaving.

The waiter called after him, voice firm but calm. "I hope you come to your senses soon."

Outside, Dorian found a line of burly men blocking the street, eyes sharp and unyielding. He ignored them, walking past. They did not stop him, only glared.

At the curb, Dorian hailed a taxi, opened the rear door, and slipped inside.

"Shinjuku," he instructed.

"Understood, Mr. Dorian." The taxi moved off, the streets bathed in neon glow.

Dorian's fingers toyed with the steel wire hidden in his lighter.

"Mr. Dorian," the driver said, voice calm. "Everyone around us, all of these cars… they are Shinshinkai disciples."

Dorian's gaze shifted outside. The taxi was flanked and followed by a convoy: private cars, trucks, even emergency vehicles.

"All gathered to take revenge," the driver continued. "Some on duty, some off. Every single one here is united."

Dorian calmly retracted his wire. "A wise judgment. Petty tricks won't work today. I'll admit it."

"All million members of Shinshinkai are here to exact revenge on you."

"Of course," Dorian replied, voice steady. "So am I."

The taxi drove into an open area.

"You've reached your destination. No need to pay," the driver announced.

Dorian stepped out, ignoring the fierce stares of the Shinshinkai disciples. He took in his surroundings, analyzing and formulating a plan.

"This is an amusement park."

The driver stepped forward. "Please enter. The operators are all connected with Shinshinkai. They welcome your entry."

"What will happen inside?" Dorian asked, voice calm.

"I don't know. Our instructions end here," the driver said, smiling faintly.

Dorian understood immediately: leaving unscathed would not be easy today.

"Someone is waiting for me inside," he said to himself, eyes narrowing. "Perhaps the one I most want to see. This amusement park is exactly where I need to be."

Dorian shed his disguise and assumed a fighting stance.

"Make your move. Don't you want to fight me?"

The disciples' fury ignited instantly.

"You bastard!"

"I'll crush you!"

"I'll end you right here!"

Haa—! Dorian's roar cut through the noise, and the hall of Shinshinkai members froze. Fear flickered across their faces.

"You're afraid, even with your numbers," he mocked, a scornful smile on his lips. "This is my respect to you. Aren't you going to start, using your most proficient Shinshinkai rules?"
