Chapter 32 - The Domain of Nocteerom

The academy courtyard was full of obstacles: ruins, fallen tree trunks, clearings, and small hills. Today's lesson wouldn't just be about physical combat. The goal was to learn to understand the energy flow of each individual and to strategically exploit one's own Nocteerom.

The teacher began:

"Each individual here possesses a unique energy. No two are alike. You can only manipulate your own energy, but studying the patterns of others will allow you to develop advanced techniques within your limitations."

Draven knew that his energy, Nocteerom, was completely unique—no other being in the world could manipulate it.

"Other warriors can control fire, shadows, or light, each within their own capabilities. But Nocteerom is yours alone, Draven," said the Great Sage beside him. "What you can do is observe how each one molds their energy and apply patterns and strategies to your own."

Training and Observation

While Draven concentrated, he began manipulating the Nocteerom, testing different ways to reinforce attacks, create small defenses, and increase reflexes. The dark energy enveloped his body like a living shadow, pulsing with controlled intensity.

Some nearby students began to notice something different. They had never seen anyone manifest energy so intensely and uniquely. They murmured amongst themselves, intrigued:

"What is this?"

"It looks like… dark energy?"

"I've never seen anything like it…"

Even the teachers noticed the difference, exchanging curious glances. For everyone present, this was unprecedented. The Nocteerom was not only invisible to the manipulation of others, but also emitted a perceptible presence, as if it had its own consciousness.

Applying Observed Patterns

With the guidance of the Great Sage, Draven began to adapt patterns he observed in others to the Nocteerom:

Defensive movements that others made with their energies were implemented as protective shadows.

Focused attacks were adapted to increase impact without losing agility.

Subtle adjustments to energy flow allowed for more efficient anticipation and reaction to attacks.

Each application was unique and impossible for any other student to replicate. As he trained, the whispers around him grew louder, all intrigued by the dark energy that pulsed and molded itself to Draven's body.

Conclusion

The teacher ended the class:

"Mastering your own energy is essential, but observing patterns in others and applying them strategically is what differentiates an ordinary warrior from a true master."

Draven took a deep breath. He knew that Nocteerom was unique and powerful, but now he also felt the weight of the attention his energy attracted. The curiosity and strangeness of others were proof that he possessed something completely unprecedented.

"If I completely master Nocteerom and apply what I've learned by observing others," Draven thought, "no one will be able to face me on equal terms."
