Three months later. Special joy in the house today. Because Anvesha had given news today—she was going to become a mother.
Ayaan couldn't believe it at first. Then when it was confirmed, he went crazy with joy. All day he followed Anvesha around. Didn't let her do anything. Made her sit. Brought water. Brought food.
Arnab laughed. "Brother, sister-in-law will go crazy with all your care."
Ayaan said, "Let her go crazy. I will take care of my wife."
Everyone laughed.
Shanta Devi said, "It seems to me—Anvesha's vision is about to come true."
Nandini said, "Two lockets will be seen together."
Riya came to Anvesha and asked, "Sister, will it be a brother or a sister in your tummy?"
Anvesha laughed and said, "I don't know. What do you want?"
Riya thought. Then said, "Brother. If it's a brother, I'll play with him."
Arnab said, "I also want a brother. Then I'll teach him many things."
Ayaan said, "I want a daughter. A little Anvesha like me."
Anvesha said, "Whatever it is, as long as there's love."
---
Every day brought new joy. Ayaan now spent more time at home. Arnab handled the business. Together they managed everything.
Anvesha hardly had visions now. But occasionally saw small things. Like today she saw—a small baby crawling. A locket around the neck. Silver on one side, gold on the other.
She told Ayaan. Ayaan said, "Will our baby wear both lockets?"
Anvesha nodded. "That's what I saw."
Shanta Devi happily said, "I'll give my locket to the baby."
Nandini also said, "I'll give my locket too. Then the baby will have both lockets around the neck."
Anvesha became emotional. How much this family loved her!
---
Six months later. Anvesha now had a big belly. Walking was difficult. Ayaan stayed by her side all the time. Went to office less. Cared for Anvesha more.
Tonight, Anvesha started having stomach pain. Ayaan rushed over. Everyone woke up. She was taken to the hospital.
Waited all night. In the morning, the nurse came with news—"It's a girl. Both mother and daughter are healthy."
Ayaan ran inside. Anvesha had a small girl in her lap. Eyes wide. Tiny little hands.
Ayaan held Anvesha's hand. "Thank you. You came into my life and gave me everything."
Tears in Anvesha's eyes. "Our daughter."
Shanta Devi came. Took off her locket and put it around the baby's neck. Nandini also came. Put the gold locket around the baby's neck.
Now the small baby had two lockets around her neck. Silver and gold. Together.
Arnab said, "My niece. I'll teach her everything."
Riya said, "My little sister! I'll play with her!"
Everyone laughed. Anvesha and Ayaan looked at their daughter. Only love in their eyes.
Anvesha's vision had come true. Two lockets together. A small baby. And only happiness in this house.
Anvesha looked out the window. The moon was smiling. They were smiling too. One chapter ended. Another began. With a new name. Anew.
