Two months had passed. Everyone in the house now lived happily together. Shanta Devi and Nandini spent time like sisters. Little Riya was everyone's beloved. Arnab's nature had changed a lot. Now he laughed, talked, spent time with everyone.
Anvesha's visions had almost stopped. Sometimes she saw small things, but nothing terrifying like before. It was as if her power had found peace.
Today was Ayaan's birthday. Special arrangements were made at home. Everyone was busy from morning. Shanta Devi and Nandini in the kitchen. Arnab decorating the hall. Anvesha had ordered the cake.
Ayaan had gone to office. He would return in the afternoon. Anvesha wanted everything to be ready when he arrived.
At four in the afternoon, Ayaan returned. As he got out of the car, he froze. The whole house was decorated. Flower garlands. Balloons. Lighting arrangements.
Anvesha stood at the door. Cake in hand. Everyone beside her.
"Happy Birthday!"
Tears in Ayaan's eyes. He had never imagined—so many people would celebrate his birthday. His wife beside him, his brother, his new family.
"Thank you," Ayaan whispered, "to all of you."
The cake was cut. Gifts were given. Arnab gave a watch. Shanta Devi gave her blessings. Nandini gave a handmade sweater. Riya gave a drawing.
What did Anvesha give? Last of all, Anvesha stepped forward. A small box in her hand.
"This is for you."
Ayaan opened the box. Inside was a key. Ayaan was surprised. "What's this key for?"
"For a new house. Where we will live together. Not just us, but for everyone."
Ayaan embraced Anvesha. "You came into my life and changed everything."

At night, after everyone had left, Ayaan and Anvesha stood on the balcony. The moon had risen. A breeze was blowing.
"Anvesha," Ayaan said slowly, "is our contract over now?"
Anvesha smiled softly. "The contract ended long ago. Now love begins."
Ayaan looked into Anvesha's eyes. Then said, "I love you. Maybe not from the first day, but now I know—I can't live without you."
Tears in Anvesha's eyes. "I love you too."
They embraced each other. For a long time. The moon smiled watching them.
Suddenly Anvesha's forehead started burning. She closed her eyes—no fear this time. She knew something good would appear.
She saw—a small room. Ayaan inside. A baby in his lap. Anvesha beside him. Everyone laughing. The gold locket and silver locket hanging side by side.
Anvesha opened her eyes and looked at Ayaan.
"What did you see?" Ayaan asked.
Anvesha whispered something in Ayaan's ear. A smile appeared on Ayaan's face. He looked with wide eyes.
"Really?"
Anvesha nodded. Ayaan embraced her again. This time, tighter.
