With Storm I grip the steering wheel with one hand. I suddenly turn it to the side
"Ready!"
Minion grips his chair
"Saint heat seeker!"
I hit a fallen terror with the PTV. I get stalled on top of it as it tries to swing at the PTV while having the wheels dragged over it's head. I finally get unstuck and I sharply turn the PTV to turn to the terror and I hit it again, this time with spikes. Finally the damn thing dies. Good.
"I'm.... starting to see why nobody drives with you"
I glance over
"I've got no clue what you mean by that."
I start moving yet again, to meet up with the carts.
With Beast I duck under a wide swipe, I use that to attack the in-between the armor plating. I grab its now part way dangling arm and I pull it off. I drop the arm as it screams. I use that to slam the sword into its mouth into its head. I yank my sword to the side finally killing it. I grab the body before it falls, I throw it into another. I use that to move forward advancing on the next creature. I grab its arm using it to get on its back. It grabs at me but I make a set of extra arms that I use to grab its arms as I use my original arms to grab its head and stab into the armors visor head, I dig in. It finally falls and I jump off of it. I land next to a cohort of warmth holders or whatever their called. Healer nods to me and i nod back. Kelly moves forward and luke slams his sword into it. A oddly familiar move, where did they learn it anyways?.
With Storm I cruse next to the carts at a casual pace. I feel a little slow, but that's okay I don't need to be that fast. I can go at a slow pace.
"So... what was it like?"
I glance over
"What do you mean?"
He waves his hand
"In Antarctica"
I let out a soft hum
"That. Well Antarctica wasn't easy for anyone, it was probably stressful and terrifying for everyone there"
I grip the wheel tighter
"I won't say I had it the worst but I had it differently to a mundane person. So many people relied on me. If I faltered who knows how many would die. If I needed help there was very little people who I knew could get me out."
I sigh deeply staring out at the white wasteland
"I knew my arrival had to be the miracle."
We stay silent for a while. It all feels so raw. Even though it happened so long ago. The winter beast came and the next thing I knew i was in the future.
"So how's the rest of the Irregulars doing?"
He turns to look at me then he smiles widely
"Well ascended Dale is no longer a ascended but a saint now. He and a few others became saints about 2 years ago. You know how your old cohort is doing. The... the other cohort is still a part of the government, one actually became a ascended actually, I heard the rest are planning on teaming up with what's left of saint soul reapers cohort to challenge the second nightmare as well."
I nod good for them. Really it is good. Dale got his... well everything that got more then a little mangled during the siege. Sunless's cohort, or I'm pretty sure it was his cohort, is planning on teaming up Jets Antarctica cohort.
With Beast
"Take the injured to the left medbay, the right side of the camp will come under attack soon i will hold it off"
"understood!"
The camp comes alive. I start walking. We don't just come under attack from the army of ash, but the natives of the ice as well. It is quite annoying to deal with. I stand at the edge of the camp as wind quietly strolls on past. Finally everything comes alive. Just as a set of jaws are about to snap on my head its yanked away by flame who in one bite crushes most of the creature. I step forward stabbing into the head of a awakened beast. My steps are slow are careful, flames tail is not as it sweeps over the creates destroying most of them.
With Storm I finally make it to ravenheart. I had a personal little mission. I want to look into the castle itself. Mostly to figure out if anything here has anything to do with the vile thief of the snow crown. It seems at least a little likely, I guess. I told Kai I'd be coming today at least. I wander around for a while, ill be here for a few days at least so it shouldn't be a problem. I dig into my bag eating some snacks. That's when I run into the song sisters, kai and sunless. Oh he is as- not going to think any more of that. Even mentally calling a sovereign something like is a stupid idea.
"Oh hey. What'cha doing?"
Sunless shrugs
"Going to the toy room"
I nod
"My castle as something like that, i believe it was a place where the servants children would be placed while the parents where working"
Seishan smiles
"Its been some time heat seeker. Your work has really freed up my sister"
I shrug wait what did, ohhhh
"Yeah it did really free up silent stalker. I would say to come and visit my citadels when I escort the carts back but, its a little too cold."
She laughs softly, I didn't make a joke
"If I could i have no doubt I would. I would love to see how you've decorated them."
Kai sighs in a very tired way, just what has been happening around here to get kai so tired
"I'm not shocked I have this many people visiting at once"
I end up following the group. For as they say, shits and giggles. Not really anything more, if i had to put reason to it, whatever a sovereign couldn't find out about the place, then what chance do I have?
"There is a high chance that something unexpected will happen once we enter that room. Whatever it is… don't panic and let me handle it. If things seem too dangerous, retreat immediately."
Oh damn danger already? How am I not shocked. I shrug, if its too dangerous for sunless then I doubt i can help. Unless it has to do with elemental attacks.
"Oh, and if something happens to me… wait until the next me arrives. Should only take a few days."
Cool cool.
"Oh is it a me situation, or like a corn thing?"
He scowls
"More of a mordret situation."
He really dislikes mordret. I mean I get it after what he did to the house of night, I get that. But that dislike seems more personal. A woman rises from his shadow, wowiza that woman looks like she's about to kill one of us and had very murderous vibes about her. Good for her
"Ah… I see you have a new servant, my lord."
Sunless grins, its a little prideful.
"She's not a servant. She's an employee. Actually, now that I think about it, the two of you are kindred spirits. She only accepts payment in blood."
Seishan tenses, so I lean over and i bump shoulders with her. She looks over at me then smile sighs.
"But don't worry, I won't be collecting blood donations today. I already paid her this week, and plus… I don't want to brag, but she only has a taste for my blood."
Is that a game? I think i saw a report of something like that at the snow castle. Death something i remember putting it down as. Something about that board. It does not feel right. It feels wrong. Very very wrong. I keep staring at it, only 4 black figures and a ton of white ones. The figures themselves feel weird. But its like there's something in place to stop me from figuring it out. Hmmmm
"Everyone, get away from that thing..."
Everyone else takes a good step back. Well not the summon, kai seems about ready to summon his bow standing in front of the door and the song princesses. Really like a knight in shining armor, its weird. The board felt a little like corrupti- Wait what is happening? Ash hits me in the face as i slowly get up.
"What the absolute hell just happened?! I have to escort the carts back!"
With Sun finally peace. Not really. I am under the ocean. I do not like this very much. Actually i quite hate it. Why did I have to get picked for this bull crap. At least bloodwave is okay. The other ship dweller is annoying and too talkive, and manipulative and weird. I have nothing good to say about her, other then her being a very strong diviner. I hold onto cetus firmly, the only peace I may get out in this wet he- what just happened to storm. Something happened to storm.
