"Where have you been Hanz? You moved my speech up then disappeared on me. Not that I mind. I prefer not to do these sorts of things anyway." Great General Toro said.
"It's nothing worth your attention my lord." Hanz replied.
"That's what you say, but your arm is bleeding. Sure seems like you got in a fight to me." Toro said pointing at the blood dripping from his sleeve.
Hanz quickly grabbed his wrist. "I had thought that it had healed already." Hanz said to himself. "That must be a wound from that one attack. I didn't think it would have done this much damage." He thought.
"You know it's a court marshal-able offense to lie to a superior officer." Toro said.
"I'm sorry sir but there was an attempt on your life. I didn't tell you for obvious reasons." He replied.
"Bahaha! You thought I'd want to fight whoever came to kill me. Bahaha!" Toro said with a booming laugh. "Usually you'd be right, but apparently they couldn't even beat you. Fighting someone like that doesn't interest me in the slightest."
"Well, that's good to know. Just to be safe I'd like to cancel the rest of your speaking engagements. We can't put you in even the slightest bit of danger."
"Bahaha! I'd pay good money to be put in even the slightest bit of danger, but if it gets me out of giving these boring speeches I'll take it."
"Yes sir, I'll make the arrangements." Hanz said as he saluted and left the room. "It's a pleasant surprise that he agreed so easily, but still, I don't understand why a talented young woman would try to make an attempt on the Great General's life. I need to get to the bottom of this." He thought.
"First and foremost, I'd like to find her. If left unmanaged, who knows what kind of threat she might pose one day. That being said, I can't pursue her myself. If the General finds out he might become curious why I'm trying so hard to capture her and he might even change his mind about wanting to fight her." He continued thinking. "I need someone who can pursue them without getting much attention."
"Hey Captin' what took you so long to get here?" A solider asked as he noticed Hanz was back in the ship.
"Ah, Sergeant Deergen. You might just be the person that I was looking for." Hanz said as he constructed a plan.
Meanwhile, Leona and Ren had traveled to the planet of Targ to discuss their next move.
"With your attempt on the General's life, I'd wager that Mr. Glasses is going to cancel the rest of his speaking engagements. So it'll be impossible to catch him at one of those now." Ren said.
"Yeah I know, do you have any thing constructive to add?" Leona asked annoyed.
"As a matter of fact, I do. In fact, I have three destinations that could yield valuable information on Great General Toro." Ren said while holding up three fingers.
"Oh really? And where would that be?" She asked him.
"The first is obviously Vercheg, the place he calls home."
"Oh, a brilliant idea. I had never considered checking for him in the place that he lives." Leona said sarcastically. "We can't go there they'd catch us immediately, the security is way too tight there especially now."
"That's right, but there's still two more places that I have in mind."
"What would that be?"
"The other spot would be the planet Vanda where his son, Toro II, rules as King. My last idea was the planet Earth, I'm pretty sure that's the place that Great General Toro was born."
"Those aren't bad ideas. I hadn't really thought of checking either of those places, but do you really think that we'll find him there?"
"I can't really say for sure, but even if we can't I'm sure we can at least gather some useful intel on him don't you think?"
"Yeah I guess." Leona said as she pondered her options. "Well, I guess I don't have any better ideas."
"Nice! Sounds like a plan!" Ren said as he pumped his fist in excitement.
Meanwhile back on Toro's flagship. "I'm sure the sergeant will be enough, I even gave him permission to use that monster of his. I just hope they don't cause more trouble than they solve." Hanz thought as he had just given the order sending Sergeant Deergan and something else in pursuit of Leona and Ren.
