Not long after.
This special mechanical composite body had already reached an astonishing height of nearly fifty meters.
"Roar!!!"
The mechanical body let out a meaningless roar.
Then it began to devour the surrounding buildings.
Suddenly, a huge roar made it stop its actions, and it looked in the direction of the roar.
Hoshimi Miyabi and the others stopped in their tracks, seeing the direction from which the animal had roared.
In the distance, atop a giant stone formed from ether energy crystals, a massive black Nine-Tailed Fox was roaring toward them.
However, it was mainly roaring at that giant special mechanical composite body.
"That's... Aya?!"
Ling exclaimed in shock upon seeing the Nine-Tailed Fox.
"It should be Aya. I've seen it in her Demon Blade Space."
"She is as irritable as ever."
Hoshimi Miyabi nodded.
"Wait, are you serious?"
"Such a huge Nine-Tailed Fox, is that really Aya?"
"If it really is Aya, then what is going on right now?"
"I don't think her losing control looks like this!"
Nicole was shocked, stunned that such a large fox was Aya.
After Nicole finished speaking, the Nine-Tailed Fox began to shrink rapidly, revealing the person within.
Hoshimi Aya was surrounded by deep black flames, staring intently at the giant mechanical composite body not far away.
Then, her figure flashed, and she charged toward the mechanical composite body.
Likewise, the mechanical composite body also noticed Hoshimi Aya charging toward it.
"Could it be... Aya has set her sights on that big guy?!"
Ling exclaimed in disbelief.
Just as the group prepared to move forward to support her, they suddenly heard numerous footsteps.
"What bad luck. I hope we can finish quickly and report back to Officer Sarah."
"Stop complaining. I just heard that a squad was directly sent to observe that big guy, and we don't even know if they're still alive."
"What?!"
"It seems we are quite lucky; at least we aren't in that much danger."
"Besides, our team is considered relatively safe among the others. Another team was sent to monitor the Hoshimi Family's Second Miss."
"They've probably been discovered and wiped out. I was just in contact with one of them a moment ago, and now I can't reach them anymore."
"Tsk tsk tsk, let's hurry up and collect the data from the data piles. Finish early, leave this cursed place early. My brother's wife is waiting for me to take care of her."
"Go away, go away. Always thinking about things like that. Focus on your own work. People like us, small fry, we'll be finished if we run into those powerful figures."
"That's right, that's right. Let's leave quickly after the Proxy is done. It looks like a fight is about to break out over there; it wouldn't be good if we get caught in the crossfire."
A group of rebels were talking amongst themselves. Among them, a person who did not look like a rebel was collecting data from a data pile.
It seemed they were preparing to collect data, make a Carrot, and then leave The Hollow.
"I don't think you'll have a chance to leave."
"Hands behind your head now, behave obediently, and maybe we can spare you."
Nicole aimed the briefcase at the group.
Meanwhile, Tsukishiro Yanagi, Anby, and the others surrounded them from various directions.
"Dream on!"
"You expect us to surrender just because you say so?!"
"Brothers, charge!"
One of the rebels boosted morale, and the others responded, grabbing their weapons.
A dozen seconds later.
"Tell me everything, big brother, big sister, I'll confess everything."
"Stop hitting me."
"Give your little brother a chance."
A rebel knelt on the ground, weeping bitterly.
The surrounding rebels were all characters who had simply been knocked out cold.
"We ask, you answer!"
"Where is that person Sarah?!"
Ling looked at the conscious rebel in front of her.
Now that Aya was free, Sarah, who caused this entire series of incidents, definitely needed to be captured.
Moreover, with so many of them, they couldn't possibly let the rebels escape.
"I... I'll lead the way right now."
"Please, please don't hit me."
The rebel fawned, showing a strong will to survive.
"Agreeing so easily, they must have bad intentions!"
Mao said fiercely.
"W-w-what is it?"
"Esteemed big brothers and sisters, with your abilities, how would I dare have any ill intent?"
The rebel felt uneasy but didn't show it.
"For now, the priority is capturing the mastermind. Let's follow him and see what happens first."
"Besides, even if there is a conspiracy or trick on our side, we shouldn't need to worry, right?"
"After all, our side..."
As Nicole spoke, her eyes turned toward Hoshimi Miyabi.
But Hoshimi Miyabi's gaze was not here; her eyes were fixed on the direction of Hoshimi Aya.
...And on Hoshimi Aya's side.
Hoshimi Aya was enveloped by black flames, walking in a daze while holding her sword.
Anyone on the road who could move had basically been cut in half by Hoshimi Aya's single strike.
Some were even reduced directly to ash.
Suddenly, Hoshimi Aya heard the roar of an unknown creature, her delicate body trembled, and she looked in the direction the sound came from.
Her figure flashed, and the next second she appeared on the tallest building nearby. The black flames on her body began to swell, gradually transforming into a giant Nine-Tailed Fox.
"Roar!!!"
The giant Nine-Tailed Fox roared toward the place where the sound had come from.
It was like a provocation, or perhaps a declaration of war.
Or maybe it was disdain for the roar that asserted dominance.
Soon, the giant figure of the Nine-Tailed Fox vanished, and Hoshimi Aya reappeared.
Then followed another roar with a mechanical voice. Seeing this, Hoshimi Aya charged directly toward the place where the sound originated.
At the same time, the giant special mechanical body also charged toward Hoshimi Aya.
Just as the battle between the two sides was about to erupt, Hoshimi Aya suddenly noticed a particular gaze and stopped to look over.
In that direction, Sarah was observing the situation through binoculars not far away.
Seeing this, Hoshimi Aya glanced at Sarah, then at the approaching special mechanical body, and after a brief moment of thought.
Dealing with Sarah was ranked higher in priority, so the out-of-control Hoshimi Aya chose to deal with Sarah first.
Hoshimi Aya directly slashed out several arcs of black sword energy toward Sarah's direction, then dodged a giant fist coming straight at her.
...And on Sarah's side.
Sarah was holding a pair of binoculars, watching the imminent battle with interest. Suddenly, Sarah sensed something was wrong; she saw several massive black sword auras flying toward her.
"Damn it!!!"
Sarah quickly dropped the binoculars and retreated, taking to her heels.
It was unclear if it was intentional, but the sword auras missed her by a hair each time.
After dodging and weaving a few times, Sarah suddenly stopped, looking at the surrounding buildings falling toward her, and revealed a cold sneer.
