Chapter 3 - The second Mira

"Oh my." Mira face went to full concern when she saw the request.

"What now." Blake was getting tired of Mira tease. She just wanted to have her mission approved as soon as possible so that she can just get it done and get her pay and points.

"Can you please take another one? I don't believe you can handle it." Mira tried to convince Blake but the newcomer will have none of it.

"I just searched. It involves this one, hunting some animals, and finding a lost kid. I don't know the area well, and I don't know much about animals. But I do have some few combat skills. Add to my magic, and that makes this mission the perfect choice." She wasn't lying. She did learn some self defense technics, and some few more from animes. Plus if we grade her on this world rankings, Acier could be considered as a S-rank mage. So Blake was pretty confident in getting the job done.

Still, Mira didn't seem convinced. But seeing Blake determined look, she knew there was nothing she could say or do to change her mind. 'She remind me so much of myself' She thought to herself with a frown.

"What seems to be the matter?" Both ladies turned towards the source of the voice and saw a short old man, not taller than a five year old, wearing an orange and blue shirt with a clown hat of the same color, and welding a wooden staff.

"Master Makarov! You're back! How was the meeting?" Mira greeted the old master with a smile like a little girl finally meeting her favorite grampa.

Makarov just grunted then hopped to the counter, before receiving a drink from the whitehead. He took some few glup before absently answering "It went splendid. We have some few chats, discussed about many beautiful women." Then his face went dark "Then that damn Jose has to come and ruin everything. Curse that mage " Makarov enlarged his fist till it was the same size as his, then started swinging it around.

"Whoa!" Blake ducked under the swing, thankful that it was slow. 'So this is the AOT titan magic thing? Gotta admit, it look more like that fat ninja Choji giant style. But despite being slow, I bet it's really strong.' She doesn't know why, but just thinking about getting hit by that at full strength made her feel truly excited.

Makarov soon stoped his ranting as he finally noticed the newcomer. "Oh. What do we have here? A newcomer?" 'And a pretty one too. Hehehe.'

The master's snapped her out of thought, as Blake straighten up, arranged her clothes and hair, and wiped the drool from her mouth to look presentable. 'Wait! Why am I drooling?' she thought to herself. But then dismissed it as it doesn't seem important right now.

"Good afternoon sir. I am Katherine Bishop. 16 years old. And I have come to work as a mage. Thank you for having me." Blake polite ethics kicked in by instinct as she bowed her head while overlapping her hands on her knees. As long as she remembered, her parents always thought her to respect her seniors. And if their attitude are unfriendly, simply advoid them.

Makarov noticed her form and wondered if she came from a rich family. If so, then why was she here on her own? Somehow, he wouldn't be surprised if she ran away from home. 'Well, whatever it is, it's her choice. The best I can do is to guild her on this journey.'

"Master, this is the mission she choose." Mira handled the job request to Makarov, who spited his drink after realizing what the mission truly is. Much to the newcomer annoyance about the drink spraying on her face.

"YOU BRAT! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!? DO YOU WANT TO GO TO YOUR EARLY GRAVE!?"

"What are you talking about? It's just a group of bandits. There's nothing wrong with that?" She answered while wiping away the liquid from her face with a handkerchief provided by Mira, completely forgetting about being polite for a moment.

"THOSE GUYS AREN'T ANY JUST ORDINARY BANDITS BRAT! THEY'RE THE VANISHING BANDITS!" Makarov voice bloomed throughout the entire guildhall, making everyone look at her again. But this time with disbelief.

"Wait. Did the guild master said vanishing bandits?"

"And it seems like the new girl want to take that job."

"WAIT, WHAT!?"

"That girl is crazy!"

But Blake mind was on something more important.

If even their name alone gave those kind of expression, then they are worth higher than b-ranks experienced thugs. Which means...

"MASTER! HOW STRONG ARE THEY? HOW MANY? WHICH RANK WILL YOU CLASSIFY THEM AS?" She jumped to Makarov and screamed directly at his face with so much energy, you'll think she got her favorite Christmas present.

Startled, Makarov just pushed her away with his giant magic. "Don't bother brat. Even if you do, you still can't beat them. So stop being stubborn." He told her.

Blake got up annoyed. Not because she was roughly pushed back, but because he claimed that she was too weak. "The hell old man! You don't even know what how strong I am? And you claim that I'm weak! Who's the one playing stubborn now?" She pointed her accusing finger at him.

'That brat!' Makarov could feel the veins bulging on his head. He first thought she was just a noble girl currently eager to learn magic and the world. Who would have thought this 'princess' was actually wild girl in truth. "Fine. How about this? You'll have to fight a member of the guild. If you win, I might consider about the mission." He decided. Not like it could do anything. She might be strong, but not that strong.

"Alright! Bring it on!" She quickly accepted, feeling that same excitement building in her again. She mentally wondered if there's anything wrong with her after realizing what she just did, but once again, dismissed it. 'I just want to prove I'm strong enough to be allowed to to get the higher tier missions for more points. Yeah, that's it. Just more points. Nothing else to worry about."

Makarov first thought of bringing Ezra just to teach the newcomer a lesson, but the red haired was nowhere to be seen. So he has no choice but to set her up with the closest powerhouse he has. "Natsu!"

"What is it gramps?" A pink haired boy wearing a sleeveless dark red open jacket and short, and a white scarf appeared. On side was a blue cat that was flying. Yes, you read it right, a flying cat.

Makarov pointed to the boy "Natsu here is one of the strongest mages we got. Defeat him and you might have my approval."

"Master, aren't you a little too harsh? I'm afraid Natsu may hurt her. I mean look at her." The blue cat spoke for his friend. Yes, you read it right again, it spoke.

"Did that little cat just made fun of me?" She asked, feeling annoyed at his comment. The master is one thing, but the cat? 'No wonder Lucy hated that feline. He's even worse than MHA Mineta. And that's saying something.'

"No need to get so worked up since it's the truth. Take away the S-rank mages and we have Natsu as the strongest." The cat kept on bragging about his friend strength, oblivious to what the opponent thought. "Well said Happy. This princess seems so weak I could just win by flicking my finger on her forehead." Natsu also joined in the insult, feeling so sure about himself. "Aye!"

The duo were laughing like maniacs who believed they are superior to anyone, because they think their win will be easy. As for the girl?

She was quiet. Too quiet. Not the uncomfortable quiet nor the calm one, but the one that screamed that a deadly, frightening storm is bound to erupt anytime soon. And her head was bowed low enough for shadow to cover her face. Everyone, even Makarov, who saw it felt a familiar chill on their spines. That same chill they always felt from a certain titania and demon.

"He's dead right?"

"Yep."

"Rest in peace Natsu."

"Let's go." That's all she said before she started walking out.

"AYE!" The idiots agreed and followed her, oblivious to their fate.

"You know, I just realized something." A blue haired girl suddenly spoke.

"What is it Levy chan?" one of the two boys sitting beside her, wearing a top hat, asked.

"Doesn't her attitude resemble closely to Mira nee?" All those who heard Levi's question turned to look at mirajane, who just waved at them with a close eye smile before adding her own thoughts "Oh, I just remembered. She also use take over magic." She was soon in her little world "Isn't it amazing? It's like I'm meeting another me."

All those who heard it and truly knew her, especially the master, felt the color draining from their faces. Without realizing, they made a unified rule: Never anger the second demon.
