The night turns into the morning, Xander had his usual cup of coffee but he thought of exploring the igloo properly. He took a trip around the house, especially his father's room. He sat on the couch, he glanced at the items on the shelf. His eyes went to one, a spherical gold plate.
He took it from the middle, he touched it. It had a vibration to it, it made him feel like there had to be some form of energy trapped in it. He saw a book written by his dad, a book with small content. He sat with both items and read.
"That's the Aurum sphere, it's the gold plate your father used for time travel before he started working on portals. He never decided to make this, it happened by accident. He made the serum and a regular glass plate fell into it. He named it and kept it hidden, he said it had power. He never wanted Vexis or Void around it. He decided it'll be better to exclude it from his theories." Aurora said.
He asked, "Can we test it? We need to check this room for every item of power till we conclude our investigation. What other items did he create?"
"There's more than ten items, he kept them all here. Mara's aware of them too. He said he wanted them hidden or buried. I could take you to them but we'll have to keep it a secret until further notice." She replied.
He agreed, "Alright then, show me."
She walked to the shelf, she pulled out a gold stand. Xander scrutinized the object and he placed the aurum sphere in it. A bright light appeared from it, and it opened a portal.
He asked, "Where's it leading us to?"
"To Earth HZ."
"What's that? Earth HZ? Is that an earth realm?"
"Exactly. The first actually, Solstice created it first before he made the others. He wanted to explore the possibilities that could come from it. He made the humans there normal, no powers just special abilities like dreams or visions."
"Do they have higher intelligence like us? What's their lifestyle like?"
"No, we have the most unique Earth Realm. Earth X is the most intelligent amongst the earth realms. Place it on the wall and see what happens."
He moves it to the wall, the portal goes bigger. It's big enough for him to walk through, he puts his finger through. He sensed the cold atmosphere with it, he pulled his fingers back.
"Why's it cold?"
"It leads to the past first then the future. It could take you anywhere, all you have to do is imagine. It works with your mind."
"How? What connects it to the mind?"
"Your father made the serum with blood, remember? A trace of the human feature gives it life in the midst of it's discovery."
"Alright, how long will this stay open, what are the good aspects and bad aspects of this device?"
"As long as the serum remains in the compartment right there, then yes. You are able to move within the past and more. Just take note of the events, take a note with you. You'll need it."
"Alright then," He takes a note and a pen. He said, "Wish me luck."
She smiled as he walked through the portal.
He sees the other side, he sees a younger version of his father in the year 1995. He sees the written works on the table, he's on his way to classes. He follows him through till they get to the class, he sees the lectures. His father had friends but that changed when the accident happened.
He became slightly unstable. He sees the ambulance take his father from the school to the asylum.
The years fast forward and it's 2005. His father's health is stable now and he's released from the asylum.
Xander followed him back to his place, his father already lost the house and all he had. He walked with him, he saw his father take the serum and he smashed it on the wall. That led to the portal opening.
His father walked through the portal, Xander followed. They reach the courts, where he meets Solstice. Solstice welcomed him there and taught him the crafts of the space kingdom. He stayed with Solstice till 2015. He served for ten years then he was released to Earth X. Solstice felt like he was too smart for Earth HZ.
Xander sees Solstice select humans from Earth HZ and he takes them to Earth X after a period of ten years. He noticed someone that looked like Void, they graduated from the same set.
Xander sees Galen and Void work together as brothers. It reminded him of himself and Zephyr. They had peace until a woman came, this caused the conflict between Galen and Void.
Void was right, he told the truth. He wasn't the villain everyone thought of, he was hurt.
Xander watched as Galen and Void separated till today. A bright gold light appeared at the right side, Xander turned to it. It's a portal, Xander walked through it.
He sees a young man seated at the throne of the courts. He had a crown on his head, he saw Luna seated within the courts as well. He's trying to understand what he's seeing, so he looks at Luna again. She looked a little bit older.
"This must be the future, Luna will ascend but who's this other man?"
A voice speaks, it's the voice of the aurum sphere. It whispered with a low voice, "Yerkis."
He turned to his back, and asked, "Who's talking and who's… Yerkis?"
The voice replied, "The king of the new courts."
Xander asked, "Who's talking?"
The voice replied, "The spirit of the aurum sphere."
Xander felt like he had seen enough and so he said, "I want to go back to the present. Take me there."
It replied, "Before you go, you should see the other earth realms."
"Okay, show me." The aurum sphere reveals the atmosphere of all the earth realms to him, one after the other. He asked, "Can you show me the courts again? I need to see the five court masters."
"They can sense when something's wrong, they can sense when a person watches. Especially Apex."
"Who's he?"
The aurum sphere reveals Apex. He's attractive, he's calm and unpredictable. "Aurum, take me back to the present, no more sightseeing."
The aurum spirit replied, "Very well."
Suddenly he felt this dizziness within his system, he fell to the ground. By the time he opened his eyes, he was already lying down on the ground of his father's room with the aurum sphere in his hand.
