"Dad? Can we move back to Nexus city? I'm really tired of this cold setting at this igloo. Have you tried talking to Void? Or even Aurora?"
"Luna, we've talked about this and we've certainly concluded it. We are going back until further notice. Void is still in charge of that firm and until I get it back from him through legal means then I can't reach the lab. I need him and his vicious experiments out of there. I need Xander back too."
"Dad? Xander will not be here till ten years time. That's the truth. We'll need him there for later, I'm sure he closed the portals. since he left it has been difficult for him to access the courts."
He's so caught up in his breakfast, 'Galen.' He stopped eating and he looked at Luna, he turned to look behind him the moment he realized it wasn't luna. He chewed slowly and stayed vigilant.
'Galen.'
He looked up again. He saw Xander, he looked all golden and like an apparition. Galen stared at him, afraid that his son might be dead, "Xander, are you dead?"
Luna took her eyes to the direction of his gaze, "Dad? are you alright? Xander's not there. I mean no one's there."
Astrid noticed his attempt to walk towards the space from outside, she walked in and watched him. He continued, "Xander, come home. Why aren't you home? I'm back now, Why are you there? Why'd you take the deal?"
Xander smiled and said, "I'll be back soon." He disappeared.
Galen yelled, "No! Wait!" He tried to hold the apparition of Xander but he fell to the ground.
Mara yelled, "Galen! Are you okay?! Why'd you do that?"
Galen was unconscious, Mara yelled again, "Astrid start the car! He's not breathing! we need to get him at the hospital! Luna help!"
"I'm coming!" Both of them carry him to the car. Astrid drove them in the car after Luna locked the door. They reached the nearest hospital, he's breathing but not awake. The doctor already fixed the oxygen mask on his face and joined them to the next stop.
They take him to the Nexus city, Luna dialed her phone. She tried to speak but it was sent to her voicemail. "Hey Aurora? Call me when you get this! Galen's unconscious!"
They reached the laboratory, Professor Lucas Aster sat by the monitor as he tried to read Galen's heartbeat rate. "You are all lucky he's breathing, he came back to life. It's a miracle he came back. He had a seizure, he's not been checking his health too well and it looks like he saw a ghost. What really happened?" Aster asked.
Astrid answered, "He just… Fell to the ground. He collapsed and we rushed him here immediately. I guess it's his health then."
Aster took his jacket and his eyeglasses, revealing a well built chest and sexy blue eyes. Astrid couldn't ask for a better option during this trying time. "Well if that's all then you'll need to know something, first, he can't stay here for a longer while. That ironically means he'll need to stay with one of the doctors or professors. As much as he's okay, he's also in a critical state. Where would you suggest?"
Her eyes stayed on his face till he stopped talking, "Well I don't know, why'd you ask me something like that. You are the doctor anyway. But if I must, I'd prefer he stays with you." She said.
He smiled at her, "Me? No. That's not part of the equation. My house is off limits, I'm too antisocial for this association. I'll just refer him to another professor here."
He wanted to walk out but she blocked his path with her hands on his chest saying, "Stop." He stared at her quietly, his eyes into hers and his breath into hers. He smiled at her, his eyes to her lips then back into her eyes.
He reached for her waist and he grabbed her firmly. She held her breath in the moment, he said, "Breathe on me, it's fine to just breathe on me." She released her breath and smiled.
"Do you want your father at my place? Or do you want yourself at my place?"
She was speechless, he understood. He pulled her closer, they totally forgot about Luna and Mara staring at them. He leaned closer to her, "Talk to me. What do you want?"
Mata intruded, "Uhm… hey… couple? We have a life situation on our hands. Galen is still asleep and possibly close to dead but well what's next?"
Luna replied, "Professor Aster?" He turned to her and continued, "I picked your place for the volunteer program."
He laughed, "Volunteer program, anyway I could help Galen because he was actually my mentor before this whole scene happened and as for you." He turned to Astrid, "You'll be staying with me. Alone."
Mara pushed them aside jokingly, she sat by Galen. Aster pulled away from her saying, "I'll be right back."
She watched him walk out of sight, she exhaled. She wanted to fuck him right there and right now. She didn't mind, whatever ways he wanted. She would apply.
Astrid sat staring at her dad, "Luna call Zephyr. Tell him I'm around. It's been a while since I've seen him or his dad. Speaking of his dad? Where's Aurora?"
"I already sent Zephyr a text and as for Aurora. He said she should be with his dad at their house or the lab. Funny thing is, he's not here. That's strange, he's always here."
Astrid tried to trace her thoughts backward to the first moment, "Aurora's phone is on voicemail, Zephyr left the lab, Galen collapsed, Xander still stuck there, Void not here, Vexis too. Luna? What time and day is it?"
"It's a Friday, why?"
"A Friday? What time did dad tell us to be at the portal? The one at the astral post?"
"Astrid, that's not the question, the question is why would they want us here at the lab?"
Both of them echoed. "The house!!"
Zephyr just walked into the room saying, "You guys something's happening outside! Come quick!"
Mara stayed with Galen but the girls ran out, the weather had changed. The clouds are darker and gathering at three points, the igloo spot, the astral outpost and the lab. Astrid turned around, she noticed people running seeking shelter.
Zephyr asked, "Is Xander responsible for this?"
