Chapter 1 - The Killer Of London

In London, three strange deaths occurred within a single month. After investigation, the police eventually closed all three cases as suicides. However, there were similarities between the deaths that made many people suspicious.

Around the same time, a retired army doctor named Dr. Alexander arrived in London. After leaving the army, he needed a place to stay in the city. While searching online, he found an advertisement for a roommate. The name on the ad was Murphy Lawden.

At 2:50 PM, Dr. Alexander arrived at the address and knocked on the door.

A few moments later the door opened, and a very handsome young man stood there. He had silver hair, deep blue eyes, and a calm but confident expression. He looked more like a movie star than an ordinary person.

Murphy looked at him for a moment and suddenly asked,

"Iran or Israel?"

The question caught Dr. Alexander completely off guard.

"What? We should probably introduce ourselves first," he replied.

Murphy stared at him quietly for a few seconds before speaking again.

"You're an army doctor. You have a brother who needs your help, but you refuse to help him… because he's a drug addict."

Dr. Alexander froze. There was no way this stranger should know something like that.

Murphy calmly handed him a small piece of paper.

"Come back at 4:15 PM to see the house. This is the address."

That afternoon, Dr. Alexander returned exactly at 4:15.

Murphy let him inside. The apartment wasn't very large, but it was tidy. Bookshelves filled the walls, and several maps and notes were pinned across a board.

After looking around, Dr. Alexander nodded.

"I like it."

Murphy gave a small smile, then suddenly said,

"I'm going to solve those three murders in London."

Dr. Alexander frowned.

"The police already said they were suicides."

Murphy slowly shook his head.

"The police are wrong."

Later they left in Murphy's car.

For several minutes they drove in silence before Dr. Alexander finally asked,

"Murphy… how did you know all that about me?"

Murphy smiled slightly.

"I don't know. I just see things."

A short while later they arrived at the location of the first death, a small apartment building. Police tape still hung across the door.

Murphy stepped inside and slowly examined the room. After a few minutes he crouched down beside a table and picked something up from the floor.

A small needle.

He held it up and looked at it carefully.

Dr. Alexander walked closer.

"What is it?"

Murphy answered calmly.

"Poison injection."

Dr. Alexander's eyes widened.

"So it wasn't suicide?"

Murphy shook his head.

"No. It was murder."

He then pulled out his phone and showed something to Dr. Alexander. All three victims had visited the same private medical clinic shortly before their deaths.

That night Murphy and Dr. Alexander went to the clinic.

As soon as they entered, one of the doctors inside became visibly nervous. Within seconds he tried to escape through the back door.

Murphy reacted instantly and caught him before he could run.

Later the truth came out. The doctor had been performing illegal medical experiments using poison injections. The three victims had discovered what he was doing, so he killed them and made the deaths look like suicides.

The police finally reopened the cases and confirmed the murders.

After everything was over, Dr. Alexander looked at Murphy and asked quietly,

"Who are you really?"

Murphy looked out toward the dark streets of London and gave a faint smile.

"Me?"

After a moment he replied,

"I'm just someone who can see the truth… even when it's hidden inside a lie."
