Screams filled the orphanage.
The voices of children and staff mixed with the roar of winds coming from the black gate.
Adam stood on the roof, staring at the red shadow that was approaching fast.
A mysterious feeling seemed to push him to move.
Layla grabbed his hand tightly:
"Adam… hurry! They're here!"
Before either of them could take a step, the ground shook hard beneath their feet.
A huge shadow crashed down in front of them.
Its massive wings flapped powerfully, filling the air with the smell of darkness and ash.
Adam felt coldness spreading through his veins, but he didn't run away.
Something inside him was trying to wake up.
A faint glow of black light traced around his hands, but he still didn't understand what was happening.
One of the jinn moved closer to Layla.
Its long, extended hand was almost touching her…
Adam felt something pounding wildly inside his chest.
A strange force made his hands rise on their own.
The air around him began to twist in an odd way.
"What…?!" he shouted, but no more words came.
The shadow that was reaching for Layla suddenly stopped.
It was as if an invisible force had pushed it back.
Layla looked at him in shock:
"Adam… you… what's happening?"
Before he could answer, a tremendous crashing sound shook the whole city.
An explosion of black light burst from the sky.
The gate began to grow wider.
More jinn started rushing out faster, as if they sensed something different about this small boy.
Adam felt that something inside him was waiting for a bigger step—something he still didn't understand.
But he knew one thing clearly: if he didn't act now, he wouldn't be able to protect anyone.
His heartbeat raced faster.
The air around him grew thicker…
A strange flicker began to appear around his body—just a small, uncontrolled attempt.
Then, the voice of the red-eyed jinn rose from the gate—calm, but full of threat:
"The child… now the real game begins."
