Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Heart of the Storm

The orphanage was now on the verge of collapse.

Screams, running footsteps, and the roar of winds pouring from the black gate filled every corner.

The jinn were breaking into every room and hallway.

Layla held Adam's hand tightly.

Their eyes met—full of fear and worry.

"Adam… we have to do something!" she shouted.

Adam didn't answer.

His eyes were locked on the red shadow of the jinn hovering high above the orphanage.

What had been worry before had now turned into a strange sense of power—something he had never felt before… something that seemed to whisper to him:

Move, or everything will be lost.

A massive shadow rushed toward Layla.

Its long arms stretched straight for her…

Just as its hand was about to touch her, the air around Adam shook much harder.

A powerful black flash burst from his hands, sending the shadow flying back with a sudden wave of mysterious force.

Layla cried out in shock:

"Adam! How did you do that?!"

Adam couldn't answer.

Something inside him—a mysterious feeling—was growing stronger… something he didn't even know he had.

The other jinn suddenly froze, as if they sensed something different about this small boy—something that made them cautious for the first time.

Then the voice rose again from the gate.

The red-eyed jinn spoke:

"The child… it's finally appearing. But will you survive? Let's find out."

In that moment, Layla felt something touch her heart…

It wasn't just the power surrounding Adam.

It was a strange feeling that connected them in a way neither of them understood yet—a feeling of protection, of being tied together, and of danger all at once.

Adam felt the pressure building inside him.

The gate above them kept growing wider.

The jinn kept coming closer without mercy…

And just as he began to lift his foot to step forward and face the coming attack, the whole place trembled violently.

The air around him became thick and dark…

Something much bigger was about to appear—something that would change everything.
