Chapter 6 - The Day He Came to See Me

Emily looked at Leo with quiet admiration. She walked beside him, but Leo seemed distracted.

His mind was somewhere else.

He kept thinking about Werren.

"What was wrong with him?" Leo wondered.

Emily noticed that Leo hadn't looked at her even once during their walk.

But she smiled softly to herself.

"He may not notice me," she thought, "but as long as I'm with him, I feel happy."

After talking for a while, they eventually went their separate ways.

The next day at the university, Claire finished her classes and walked outside.

Suddenly, she noticed many students staring at someone.

"Wow… who is he?" one student whispered.

"He looks so handsome," another girl said. "I've never seen him before."

"Does he study here?"

"I don't think so," another student replied. "He looks like some kind of businessman."

"Yeah, I think so too."

Claire looked forward curiously.

Someone was walking toward her.

Her eyes widened.

It was Leo.

"Hey," Leo said with a small smile. "Let's go."

Claire felt her face grow warm.

They walked together.

"How are you?" Leo asked.

"I'm fine," Claire replied. "What about you?"

"I'm fine too."

They soon arrived at a nearby café and sat down.

Claire looked at him seriously.

"You don't have to come and pick me up at the university."

Leo looked confused.

"What? Why?"

"Because all the students were staring at you," Claire said.

Leo raised an eyebrow.

"You think so?"

"Yes," Claire replied.

Leo noticed that Claire looked slightly uncomfortable.

He smiled gently.

"Hey… don't worry about them."

Claire looked at him.

"Right now, the only person who matters to me is you."

Claire froze in surprise.

"Really?" she asked softly.

"Of course," Leo replied. "It's been a long time since I saw you again."

Claire smiled.

"Yeah… me too."

Outside the window, the weather slowly began to change.

Dark clouds gathered in the sky.

"Hey, look outside," Leo said. "It's about to rain."

Claire looked out the window.

"Oh… you're right."

Leo smiled.

"Do you remember the first time you gave me your umbrella?"

Claire laughed softly.

"Yes, I remember. But you still remember that?"

"Of course," Leo said.

"I never forgot you either. I was missing you… and hoping to see you again someday."

Claire looked at him with surprise.

"Really?"

"Yes."

Hearing those words made Claire feel warm inside.

But suddenly, a thought crossed her mind.

"I wonder… if there's someone else in his life," she thought quietly.

"Hey, what are you thinking about?" Leo asked.

"Oh! Nothing," Claire replied quickly.

Soon, the rain began to fall heavily.

After some time, the rain slowly stopped.

Claire stood up.

"Hey, it stopped. We should go now."

"Yeah, let's go," Leo replied.

Outside, the streets were still wet from the rain.

Claire looked around at the quiet, rainy street. The air felt cool.

Soon they reached the parking area.

"Let's go," Leo said.

They got into Leo's car and drove to Claire's house.

When they arrived, Claire smiled.

"Bye, Leo. See you tomorrow."

"Bye, Claire. See you tomorrow."

Claire went inside her house.

The next day, it was raining again.

Claire looked outside the window.

"Oh… it's raining again."

Her car soon arrived to take her to the university.

But while they were driving, the car suddenly stopped in the middle of the road.

Claire looked confused.

"What happened?"

Her driver replied, "Miss Claire, something is wrong with the engine."

"How long will it take to fix?" she asked.

"It may take a long time, Miss Claire."

Claire thought for a moment.

"If it's going to take time, I should go by myself."

"Mister James, I'll go to the university on my own," she said.

"Yes, Miss Claire," the driver replied.

Claire hurried toward the bus stop.

While she was running, her phone started ringing.

It was Leo calling.

But as she rushed forward, her ankle suddenly slipped.

"Ah—!"

She closed her eyes as she began to fall.

But suddenly, someone caught her.

Claire slowly opened her eyes.

It was Werren.

"Miss, are you okay?" he asked.

Claire quickly stepped away from him.

"Oh… thank you. I'm fine," she said.

Werren looked at her quietly.

"Then… can you move?" he said bluntly.

Claire blinked in surprise and stepped aside.

Werren walked past her without another word.

"What was that?" Claire thought, slightly annoyed.

"That was rude."

Suddenly, she remembered Leo's call.

She quickly checked her phone.

"Oh no… the call ended."

Later, Claire arrived at the university and sat in her classroom.

But her mind was still thinking about the incident at the bus stop.

"He helped me… but he was still so rude," she muttered quietly.

She sighed with an annoyed expression.
