At the cafeteria, Emily sat quietly while Celeste looked at her with concern.
"So… this is about Leo, right?" Celeste asked gently. "About what happened that day?"
Emily sighed softly and nodded.
"Yes… you're right. It's about that day."
Celeste leaned forward. "Emily, listen to me. Don't feel so bad. Leo would have listened to you… but something important came up. That's why he had to leave."
Emily looked down at her hands.
"I know that… but I still feel bad," she said quietly. "Sometimes… I feel like Leo doesn't even notice me."
Her voice softened.
"It's been so long… and he barely looks at me."
Celeste paused for a moment, then asked carefully,
"Emily… can I ask you something?"
Emily nodded. "Yeah… what is it?"
Celeste hesitated slightly before speaking.
"Do you think… there's someone Leo likes?"
Emily looked up, surprised.
"What? What do you mean?"
"Don't get me wrong," Celeste said quickly. "I just feel like… maybe there was someone."
Emily thought for a moment.
"I never really thought about that," she said. "Leo isn't the type to get easily attached to someone… so maybe yes… or maybe no."
Celeste then said, "Do you remember… back in school, there was a girl named Claire?"
Emily's expression changed slightly.
"I remember," she said slowly.
"I used to notice," Celeste continued, "that out of everyone… Leo talked to her the most. Do you think… he liked her?"
Emily fell silent for a moment.
"…I noticed that too," she admitted. "But it's been years. And Leo never talks about her."
She looked down again.
"I even asked him about Claire once… but he didn't say anything."
Celeste nodded.
"I see…"
Emily gave a faint, sad smile.
"Thinking about him liking someone else… it kind of hurts."
Celeste sighed softly.
"I'm sorry, Emily. I didn't mean to upset you."
Then she smiled a little.
"But look… if he's not with anyone right now, then that's good for you."
Emily looked confused. "Why?"
"Because you still have a chance," Celeste said warmly. "You can still tell him how you feel."
Emily stayed quiet for a moment… then smiled slightly.
"Yeah… I guess you're right."
"Now eat something," Celeste said, pushing the plate toward her.
Emily nodded, and the two of them continued eating together, trying to enjoy the moment.
Meanwhile, outside the city—
Werren's car suddenly stopped on the road.
"What happened?" Werren asked, stepping out of the car.
"Sir, there's a problem with the engine," the driver replied.
"How long will it take to fix?"
"It might take some time, sir."
Werren sighed and stood beside the car.
Just then, a girl walked past him on the road.
It was Claire.
She glanced briefly at Werren and his car… then continued walking toward her school.
Werren didn't recognize her.
After a moment, he took out his phone.
"I'll just call Leo," he said.
"Hello, Leo. I'm stuck here. Can you come pick me up? My car broke down."
"Okay, I'm coming," Leo replied.
Soon, Leo arrived and picked Werren up. They drove together toward the house.
As they reached, Werren stepped out and looked around.
"So… you're staying here?" he said. "I thought your father sold this house a long time ago."
Leo shook his head. "No. He didn't sell it. This place… means a lot to him."
Werren nodded slowly. "I see… it's been years since I've been here."
As they walked forward, Werren noticed someone in the garden.
It was Mr. Miles.
Werren's eyes widened.
"Leo… you didn't tell me Father was here."
Leo looked slightly uneasy. "I… I knew."
Werren's expression turned serious.
"Then why didn't you tell me?" he asked, his tone filled with frustration. "When I asked you where you were, you didn't say anything."
Leo lowered his gaze.
Before he could answer—
"That's enough, Werren."
Mr. Miles stepped forward.
"Don't speak to Leo like that," he said firmly. "He came here because I asked him to. And I was the one who told him not to tell you."
Werren looked at his father, shocked.
"…Is that true?" he asked Leo.
Leo nodded quietly. "Yes… Father told me not to say anything."
Werren turned back to Mr. Miles, his expression tense.
"Then why?" he asked, his voice rising slightly. "Why didn't you tell me, Dad?"
His anger began to show.
"And do you even know what Seth has done to us?"
Mr. Miles looked at Werren… his expression serious and heavy.
