Chapter 8 White Dragon
The Great Escape of the Five Elements not only records the Five Elements Escape Techniques but also includes the Five Elements Immortal Arts. This is the Dao of the Five Elements—metal, wood, water, fire, and earth—mysterious and unpredictable, containing the principles of mutual generation and restraint among the
Five Elements. Following the instructions in the book, Feng Zichen circulated his magical power. Instantly, the five energies within his body seemed to come alive, connecting with the Five Elements of Heaven and Earth. Streams of Five Elements power flowed into his body through this connection.
With the assistance of the Five Elements power, his five internal organs glowed, establishing a connection with the five great constellations in the starry sky: Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, Black Tortoise, and Hooked Chen.
What is Hooked Chen?
The image of Hooked Chen is actually the Qilin, located in the center, governing the Earth Day, and belonging to the Earth element along with the Soaring Serpent.
The five great constellations are the manifestation of the Five Elements Dao in the starry sky, capable of transforming into the Five Elements Divine Beasts.
The five internal organs resonated with the five constellations, and illusory points of light appeared, a total of thirty-five points of light appearing within the five internal organs.
The five constellations lowered their starlight, instantly transforming the illusory points of light into real, radiant brilliance. Suddenly, the five elements stirred, transforming into the forms of five divine beasts, which flew from the five internal organs and entered the divine embryo.
The cultivation of the Innate Realm involves illuminating acupoints, drawing starlight down, strengthening one's spirit, and nurturing one's own divine essence.
Illuminating thirty-six acupoints and drawing thirty-six rays of starlight down allows one to take the divine embryo a step closer. Currently, Feng Zichen has illuminated thirty-five acupoints.
Seeing that only one more acupoint is needed to break through to the Divine Embryo Realm, Feng Zichen took out a wisp of Innate Yin-Yang Five Elements Essence, refined it into his body, and drew upon the power of the Seven Luminaries.
The Seven Luminaries are the Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn—seven major stars representing the Way of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements.
The Innate Yin-Yang Five Elements Essence is the origin of heaven and earth. After Feng Zichen refined it, the Seven Luminaries lowered their starlight, falling into his eyes and five internal organs.
Seven more acupoints were illuminated, and within the five internal organs, five-colored divine light intertwined, forming a five-colored divine palace.
Above the Life Spring, Feng Zichen's Yin spirit curled up within the divine embryo, forty-two points of light appearing on his body—projections of stars. Then, the divine embryo trembled violently and rose into the divine palace.
Dense five-elemental power flowed into the divine embryo, causing it to grow stronger, and Feng Zichen's Yin spirit became increasingly solid. A ray of spiritual light leaped from his Yin spirit, shining with the light of true nature, illuminating the divine embryo with clarity.
This was the light of true spirit, evolved from the innate spirit, the vessel for future evolution into a true spirit.
Having stabilized his realm, Feng Zichen stood up and left the ancestral temple.
Strolling along the path, breathing in the fresh morning air, Feng Zichen's heart was filled with joy; this feeling of growing stronger step by step was truly wonderful.
Suddenly, the Azure Dragon Qi of the Wood element within Feng Zichen's body seemed to sense a fellow element and became somewhat restless. Activating the Azure Dragon Qi of the Wood element, a hint of azure appeared in Feng Zichen's eyes as he looked into the distance.
The five internal organs are connected to the five orifices; the stronger Feng Zichen's five internal organs, the more extraordinary his ears, nose, mouth, eyes, and tongue became.
Looking ahead, he saw dragon Qi permeating the air, its vast and boundless aura carrying a pure and holy aura, rushing towards him.
"This is… a dragon?!"
Feng Zichen was somewhat surprised, then frowned slightly. This dragon Qi was extremely pure, definitely not something an ordinary dragon could possess; it must have a very powerful origin.
"How could a true dragon of such status come to human territory?"
The Azure Dragon Qi within Feng Zichen's body had undergone several baptisms, its quality extremely high; it wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it true Azure Dragon Qi. Yet, when facing this dragon Qi, he seemed somewhat afraid. Even considering Feng Zichen's low cultivation level, it still indicated the extraordinary nature of the newcomer. After a moment, Feng Zichen felt somewhat relieved. Nuwa had set up a barrier in human territory to protect the human race. With such a large commotion, how could the Dragon Clan, humanity's neighbor, not come to investigate?
After all, Nuwa was the first to attain sainthood after the Dao Ancestor. Every action she took, even casually, was imbued with profound meaning in some people's minds.
If Feng Zichen's prediction was correct, with Nuwa's intervention, countless powerful beings in the prehistoric world would have to spare some attention for the human race.
Thinking of this, Feng Zichen decided to go and greet the Dragon Clan envoy. Although the human race was weak, proper etiquette still needed to be observed.
Feng Zichen's guess was correct; the Dragon Clan, seeing the changes in the human race, did indeed intend to send dragons to investigate. However, he had only been in the prehistoric world for a short time and hadn't yet adapted to its concept of time.
In this era where a century was but a blink of an eye, it would likely be a century before the Dragon Clan was fully prepared and arrived in the human realm.
…
In his previous life, Feng Zichen had read a story about a white dragon disguised as a fish:
Once, a white dragon descended from the heavens to the Cold Abyss, transforming into a fish. A fisherman named Yuqie shot it in the eye. The white dragon complained to the Heavenly Emperor, who asked, "In what form did you appear?" The white dragon replied, "After descending to the Cold Abyss, I transformed into a fish." The Heavenly Emperor said, "Fish are killed by humans; since this is the case, what crime has Yuqie committed?"
This was originally a fable, warning nobles that concealing their identity could bring unknown dangers. Unexpectedly, in this prehistoric world, the fable had become reality.
Looking at the white carp in the net before him, Feng Zichen shook his head with a wry smile, truly hoping its parents and relatives could be as enlightened and magnanimous as the Heavenly Emperor in the fable.
In his divine eyes, this was no carp, but clearly a young white dragon. The dragon aura Feng Zichen had previously seen originated from this young dragon.
As for why it, as a young dragon, was caught by humans, it was all because of the fishing net on its body.
Indeed, this fishing net is also a treasure of merit, woven by Feng Zichen based on his memories from later generations. Compared to land, the water is far more dangerous, teeming with countless ferocious beasts.
To ensure the safety of the tribesmen who fish, Feng Zichen always had them bring the treasure net before each trip, as it was extremely effective against aquatic creatures.
After receiving the treasure net from his tribesmen, Feng Zichen waited until they left before releasing the white carp. This place was protected by a barrier set up by the Goddess Nuwa, so even if the white dragon's cultivation was higher than his, it couldn't harm him.
After the white carp escaped the treasure net, its body glowed white, and it transformed into a pure white dragon surrounded by white clouds.
Revealing its true form, the white dragon angrily declared, "How dare you! You even dare to capture me! Aren't you afraid of the dragon clan's revenge?"
Its voice was high and deep, imbued with Daoist meaning, as if in harmony with the Dao itself, carrying an ancient and noble aura.
The voice resounded directly within Feng Zichen's consciousness, allowing him to naturally understand its meaning. Otherwise, Feng Zichen wouldn't have understood it at all.
"This is—Daoist language!"
Feng Zichen's body trembled, staring at the white dragon in disbelief.
Daoist language, the earliest language of the primordial world, containing the true meaning of the Great Dao, circulated only among innate gods and demons, and only a few innate beings could learn it. This white dragon actually understood it!
